Caesarean section

Caesarean section

Caesarean section is an important procedure to promote fertility among modern women, because it reduces the chance of dystocia and greatly reduces the pain women experience during the delivery process. However, before choosing a cesarean section, the mother must understand the sequelae of the cesarean section to the body and related precautions. The following article will provide mothers with knowledge about anatomical caesarean delivery.

Is a cesarean section a minor surgery?

In terms of risks, surgical procedures and operation time, cesarean section cannot be considered a major surgery. But the premise is what kind of surgeries it is compared with. If compared with organ surgeries, cesarean section is undoubtedly a minor surgery. This is mainly because the current medical level is particularly high and medical technology is very mature. There is no significant threat associated with a caesarean section. It is no exaggeration to say that no case of failed caesarean section has been found so far. Therefore, women who want to have a caesarean section can rest assured.

Things to note before cesarean section

1. Pregnant women who are preparing for a caesarean section should follow the doctor's instructions and do some necessary examinations in a timely manner, such as B-ultrasound and fetal heart monitoring, so as to understand the safety of the fetus in the uterus in a timely manner. Do not leave the ward casually, because the nurse may draw blood, prepare skin, match blood, etc. for you at any time.

2. You need to sign a consent form for surgery and anesthesia before the operation! Because any surgery will have surgical complications, such as accidental bleeding during anesthesia, organ damage, poor wound healing, etc.

3. Do not apply nail polish or makeup before surgery! Because after applying makeup or nail polish, if massive bleeding and shock occur, it will be difficult for doctors to observe and judge the degree of shock through the complexion and the color of the nail bed (nails), which may delay the condition.

4. It is not advisable to wear jewelry during surgery. If you bring some accessories with you during a rescue operation, they may be lost in the panic.

5. Clean the abdomen and vulva. Those with deep navel should clean them in advance.

6. After giving birth, pregnant women will be transferred to the postpartum ward or room. Family members need to pack their personal belongings in advance in preparation for bed transfer, and keep valuables with them.

Is cesarean section a minor operation? If we look at this question from a medical perspective, after all, it is also an operation. Since it is an operation, there are risks involved, so from this point of view, there is no distinction between big and small. But from an objective point of view, with the development of medicine today, the chances of using cesarean section are very high, and the safety factor is also high, so in this respect it is a relatively minor operation.
