The relationship between anemia and menstruation

Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon for women. The amount of menstruation is closely related to women's physical health. Some women have less menstrual flow, while some women have more. Due to women's special physiological structure, most women have anemia to varying degrees. Although anemia is not a serious disease, it can have a great impact on people's physical health.

The relationship between anemia and menstruation

If the menstrual flow is heavy, it can easily cause anemia.

Is scanty menstruation related to anemia?

Normal women's menstruation lasts for 2-7 days, with a menstrual volume of 50-80 ml. If the duration is less than 2 days and the menstrual volume is less than 30 ml, it is usually considered as oligomenorrhea. There are many reasons for scanty menstruation, such as endocrine disorders, gynecological inflammation, changes in mental environment, anemia, etc. In addition, it may be due to the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion, and curettage causing thin endometrium.

Small menstrual volume is not caused by anemia. In fact, small menstrual volume has nothing to do with anemia. There are many reasons for small menstrual volume. Generally, anemia will cause small menstrual volume, but small menstrual volume is not necessarily caused by anemia. Therefore, there are many reasons for small menstrual volume, such as endocrine disorders, gynecological inflammation, changes in mental environment, cold, anemia, etc. In addition, it may be due to the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion, and curettage causing thin endometrium.

Causes of scanty menstruation

1. Women who diet excessively will experience less menstrual flow.

2. Women who have irregular work and rest schedules are prone to having scanty menstruation, because women are exposed to cold stimulation during menstruation, which can cause excessive contraction of blood vessels in the pelvic cavity, resulting in scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea.

3. Sulking or encountering major spiritual stimulation and psychological trauma can easily lead to less menstrual flow in girls.

4. In addition, it may be due to the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion or curettage causing thin endometrium.

5. Endocrine reasons, such as abnormal secretion of various hormones or anovulation.

6. Diseases such as tumors and uterine dysplasia.
