After pregnancy, many female friends will feel that their bodies have different degrees of obesity. This is a very common pregnancy reaction, and the degree of obesity is different for each female friend. If you are overweight by more than 50%, it is severe obesity. In this case, it is very serious and may induce various diseases. You must go to the hospital for weight loss treatment in time. Due to the increase in hormones in women's bodies during pregnancy and the difference in physical condition after childbirth, hormone secretion is disrupted, metabolism slows down, and weight gain occurs. This eventually leads to postpartum weight gain. Obesity degree = (actual weight - standard weight) ÷ standard weight × ± 100% A body weight that exceeds the standard by 10% is considered overweight, 20% is considered mild obesity, 30% is considered moderate obesity, and 50% is considered severe obesity. Differential diagnosis of postpartum obesity: 1. Simple obesity 1. Constitutional obesity Cause: Congenital. Cushing's syndrome Cause: Hyperfunction of the adrenal cortex and excessive secretion of cortisol. Phenomenon: The face, neck and body are enlarged, but there is not much fat in the limbs. 2. Pancreatic Cause: Excessive secretion of insulin, reduced metabolic rate, reduced fat decomposition and increased synthesis. Phenomenon: obesity all over the body. 3. Decreased sexual function Cause: Cerebral obesity, accompanied by loss of sexual function or decreased libido. Phenomenon: obesity around the breasts, lower abdomen, and genitals. 4. Pituitary Cause: Pituitary disease causes the anterior pituitary to secrete excessive growth hormone. Phenomenon: Hyperplasia and hypertrophy of bones, soft tissues, and visceral tissues throughout the body. The bones are large and the stomach muscles are prominent. 5. Hypothyroidism Cause: Hypothyroidism. Phenomenon: obesity and myxedema. Legs are often prone to swelling. 6. Drug-induced Cause: Caused by side effects of drugs, such as corticosteroids. Subcutaneous obesity Features: Fat is mainly distributed in the subcutaneous tissue of the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. 8.
