What to do if you have anemia at 37 weeks of pregnancy

Anemia during pregnancy is a very common physical condition in women. As the fetus grows, the more nutrients it absorbs from the mother, the more likely it is to develop anemia symptoms in the mother. Anemia during pregnancy can be improved through diet therapy. You can eat more animal livers and foods high in iron.

What should I do if a pregnant woman suffers from anemia at 37 weeks?

1.Animal blood and liver. Animal liver is rich in iron, vitamin A, and folic acid. It also contains other trace elements such as zinc and selenium, which can effectively promote the body's absorption of iron.

2. Fresh vegetables. Fresh green vegetables are rich in folic acid. Although folic acid is not the main force of hematopoiesis like iron, it participates in the production of red blood cells and can be considered an auxiliary hematopoiesis. Therefore, if folic acid is deficient, it will also cause cellular anemia.

3. Black food. Black foods are rich in iron, which can significantly improve nutritional anemia and replenish blood. Therefore, pregnant women with anemia may wish to eat more black foods, such as black beans, black fungus, black sesame, etc.

4. High-protein foods. In the later stages of pregnancy, the baby develops very quickly. As long as the baby's weight does not exceed 1 kilogram per week, you should eat more high-protein foods, such as milk, fish, eggs, lean meat, beans, etc. At the same time, pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables, and eat enough vegetables and fruits to avoid damaging your stomach by overeating greasy food.

5. Iron supplement products. Since pregnant women have a huge demand for iron, ordinary food supplements may not be able to meet their needs. Therefore, pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia should also take safe and appropriate iron supplements.

Finally, I would like to remind all expectant mothers that if you have moderate or above anemia, you need to go to the hospital for drug treatment. Oral iron therapy is very effective. In addition to taking iron supplements, patients with anemia during pregnancy should also take a small dose of folic acid. But be careful not to take too large a dose.
