When is the best time to remove the ring?

When our country implemented the family planning policy, people would be fined if they had more children than allowed. Therefore, in order to avoid having more children, many women choose IUD surgery. IUD surgery can effectively prevent women from getting pregnant. This operation is reversible, which means that the ring can be removed. After the IUD is removed, women regain their fertility. So when is the best time to remove the ring?

The best time to remove the IUD should be chosen according to different women. If a general woman of childbearing age needs to get pregnant, the best time to remove the IUD is 3-5 days after the menstruation ends, and it is best to do it half a year or one year in advance. If a menopausal woman needs to remove the IUD, it is generally most appropriate to remove the IUD within 6 months to one year after menopause. Removing the IUD too early or too late will have an impact on the body. If the contraceptive ring inserted into a woman's body has reached its expiration date or if there is obvious discomfort after the ring is inserted, the ring should be removed as soon as possible.

1. For women of childbearing age who plan to have their IUD removed to get pregnant, the best time to do so is six months or one year in advance. Even if you are eager to get pregnant, you should wait until two or three normal menstrual cycles before conceiving in order to give the endometrium a recovery period, which is beneficial to eugenics.

2. For menopausal women, the best time to remove the IUD is within 6 months to 1 year after menopause. Because there is still a possibility of pregnancy if the IUD is removed too early, but removing it too late will cause uterine atrophy, making it more difficult for the doctor to remove the IUD.

3. If the IUD has expired, it should be removed promptly. Generally, metal rings can be stored for 20 years, silicone rubber U-shaped rings can be stored for seven to ten years, and copper sleeve Y-shaped rings can be stored for ten to 15 years. When the time is up, you should go to the hospital to remove them in time to avoid deformation or failure of the ring in the uterus.

4. If you feel obvious discomfort after the IUD is inserted, remove it immediately. If there are adverse reactions such as irregular vaginal bleeding and continued heavy menstrual flow after the IUD is placed, which affect your health, the IUD should be removed promptly if drug treatment is ineffective.
