Normal values of six sex hormones during menstruation

Normal values of six sex hormones during menstruation

The reason why women have menstruation is that the progesterone secreted by the ovaries promotes the shedding of the endometrium, resulting in bleeding. Therefore, women's body hormones will also undergo major changes during menstruation, among which 6 body hormones are very important. And these 6 body hormones can also accurately reflect a woman's fertility, so what are the normal values of the 6 sex hormones during menstruation?

1. Understand the standard value

1. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH): It promotes the development of follicles and makes them mature quickly.

Normal values: 1.5-10 miu/ml before ovulation, 8-20 miu/ml during ovulation, and 2-10 miu/ml after ovulation.

2. Luteinizing hormone (LH): promotes ovulation and secretes progesterone.

Normal values: 2-15mIU/ml before ovulation, 30-100mIU/ml during ovulation, and 4-10mIU/ml after ovulation.

3. Progesterone (P): This is a very important hormone. If it is abnormal, it is not conducive to conception and pregnancy is prone to miscarriage.

Normal value: 0-4.8nmol/L before ovulation and 7.6-97.6nmol/L after ovulation.

4. Testosterone (T): If the value is too high, it will generally affect pregnancy.

Normal value: 0.7~3.1nmol/L.

5. Prolactin (PRL): mammary gland growth and breast milk secretion

Normal value: The value during non-lactation period is 0.08-0.92nmol/L. A value higher than 1.0nmol/L is abnormal and may be due to hyperprolactinemia.

6. Estradiol (E2): Low values may indicate problems with ovarian function.

Normal values: 48-521nmol/L before ovulation, 70-1835nmol/L during ovulation, and 272-793nmol/L after ovulation.

2. Inspection time

1. Female: 3-5 days after menstruation

Women have higher red blood cell levels during menstruation, which can affect sex hormone test results. Therefore, it is more appropriate to check 3-5 days after menstruation.

2. Men: No set time

If a man wants to check six sex hormones, he can do it at any time. However, in order to ensure the accuracy of the test results, your lifestyle should be adjusted during the test and you should avoid strenuous exercise.

It can be seen that the detection time varies according to gender. In order to ensure the test results, the best detection time needs to be selected. The test results are usually available within 24 hours. If the situation is special or the hospital is different, the time of release will also be different.
