22 years old uterine fibroids

22 years old uterine fibroids

Most women who suffer from uterine fibroids are older women, and the probability of the disease occurring is higher in women who have had frequent abortions or women who are in menopause. If you are diagnosed with uterine fibroids at the age of 22, it is quite sad, because if you undergo hysterectomy at this time, it is likely to cause women to be unable to get pregnant. So what should a 22-year-old with uterine fibroids do?

Small uterine fibroids usually have no symptoms. The vast majority of uterine fibroids are discovered during gynecological B-ultrasound examinations. Large uterine fibroids may cause symptoms. These symptoms may affect menstruation and patients may also experience abdominal pain.

1. Abnormal menstruation

It often occurs in submucosal and intramural fibroids. Menstruation is characterized by periodic bleeding, increased menstrual volume, or prolonged or shortened menstrual periods, which become irregular and even cause irregular vaginal bleeding. Due to excessive menstruation and prolonged abnormal bleeding, anemia will occur in the long run.

2. Lower abdominal mass

The fibroids gradually grow, causing the size of the uterus to continue to increase. If the size of the uterus exceeds that of a 3-month pregnant uterus, a lump can be felt in the abdomen, which is more obvious when holding urine in the early morning.

3. Pain

This is a symptom that often occurs during pregnancy. Another possibility is that a fibroid may twist, which can be very painful.

4. Compression leads to frequent urination and urgency

When the fibroids grow to a certain size, they begin to compress the surrounding organs. Compression of the bladder can cause frequent urination, urgency, or difficulty urinating, or even urinary retention; compression of the rectum can cause difficulty in defecation and discomfort after defecation; compression of the ureter can even cause hydronephrosis.

5. Increased vaginal discharge

It can cause increased leucorrhea, abnormal leucorrhea, etc.
