Pregnant women's signs one week before delivery

Everyone knows that pregnant women are very tired. The physical pain and mental pressure they endure during pregnancy are very enormous. When it is almost time to give birth, many women will worry that the fetus will be born prematurely, or they are afraid of accidents that will prevent the fetus from being delivered normally. Therefore, pregnant women will pay special attention to the situation of the fetus before delivery. So, what are the signs of a pregnant woman one week before giving birth?

First, the uterus descends, and pregnant women may feel a distended lower abdomen, frequent urination, the urge to defecate, back pain, etc. In the weeks before delivery, as the fetal head enters the pelvis, you will feel a little more relaxed in your upper abdomen, and your breathing and appetite will improve significantly, but you will urinate more frequently and walking will not be very comfortable. This is the reason for the descent of the uterine fundus.

Second, the uterus contracts and is accompanied by regular abdominal pain. : A few days before delivery, pregnant women will feel their abdomen hardening, which may be accompanied by a slight feeling of heaviness. This is the contraction of the uterus. The uterine contractions at this time are often short-lived, with varying intervals, often occurring at night and disappearing in the early morning, and the cervix will not dilate. Pregnant women don't need to be nervous. The vast majority of pregnant women give birth within two weeks before or after the due date. When you have regular abdominal pain, and the intervals between them become shorter and shorter, and the pain duration becomes longer, it indicates that delivery is imminent.

Third, there is bleeding, and blood can be seen flowing out from the base of the thigh. 24 to 48 hours before delivery, a small amount of bloody mucus is discharged from the vagina, which is called bloody show, or water rupture, that is, the amniotic sac in the uterus ruptures and the amniotic fluid flows out. It is also a reliable sign of labor. Spotting may last for a few days, with a small amount of discharge each day; or it may occur suddenly. If the amount of spotting is heavy and exceeds the normal menstrual volume, you should go to the hospital and contact the doctor or midwife in time.
