What to do if a cyst is found during color Doppler ultrasonography

Color Doppler ultrasound is a common examination method, and it can examine various parts of our body. However, some people may find cysts in their bodies during color Doppler ultrasound examinations. This phenomenon is quite serious. Many people will undergo various detailed examinations when they have cysts to specifically determine the location of the cysts and the size of the lumps. So what should we do if we find cysts during color Doppler ultrasound examinations?

1. Scraper

Pap smear is a very common examination method at present. Under long-term inflammatory stimulation, a small number of patients with chronic inflammation have a tendency to malignant transformation. Therefore, after patients are diagnosed with cervical disease, they need to do a cervical smear examination first. Since the scraping is a cytological examination, it is also called a Pap smear. Therefore, patients with uterine cysts should undergo smear tests every year to prevent uterine cancer and precancerous diseases.

2. Colposcopy

It can directly detect the diseased area, diagnose whether there are abnormal lesions, and determine the severity of the lesions as a basis for treatment. Since the colposcope can magnify the lesions 10 to 40 times, it can observe slight lesions of the cervical epidermis that are invisible to the naked eye. With the assistance of acetic acid solution, it can distinguish whether the changes in uterine cells are benign or malignant. Biopsy under colposcope positioning can detect precancerous and cancerous changes early.

3. Biopsy

Once a suspicious lesion is found during the colposcopy, the doctor will remove a small amount of tissue from the lesion for pathological examination under the positioning of the colposcope. This is called a cervical biopsy, or biopsy for short. The biggest difference between biopsy and smear is that the former uses "living" tissue rather than "shedding" cells. Therefore, it is more targeted and accurate, and is less likely to miss diseases, especially cancer. It is the most reliable basis for diagnosing cancer. Whether it is early or late stage cervical cancer, this examination must be performed to determine the pathological type and degree of cell differentiation of the tumor, and to determine the treatment method.
