Can I have sex if I have too much vaginal discharge?

Everyone knows that leucorrhea is a substance secreted from the female genitals. Especially after women enter puberty, this substance will be secreted every month, and it is particularly abundant. Normal leucorrhea generally looks like a transparent and colorless thick substance, or a white pus-like substance, so you can only change your underwear frequently. So if a woman has a lot of leucorrhea in her genitals, can she have sex?

After women enter puberty, their lower bodies will always be wet, and their underwear will no longer be clean. The secretions are either transparent and colorless or cheese-like milky white, and sometimes slightly yellow, bloody, or brown. Although there is no odor at ordinary times, if the vulva is not washed and the underwear is not changed after a day or two, the smell will be unpleasant. This is the effect of the large amount of estrogen secreted after the ovaries develop, and is medically known as leucorrhea.

The components of leucorrhea include: secretions from the vaginal epithelium, which are the main substance that keeps the vagina moist; secretions from the cervical glands and endometrium, which are smaller in quantity and whose properties change with the different stages of the menstrual cycle; desquamated cells and white blood cells of the vaginal epithelium; secretions from the sebaceous glands of the labia minora; secretions from the Bartholin's glands, etc.

Generally speaking, leucorrhea is odorless and the amount is not large, and it varies depending on the stage of the menstrual cycle. During the ovulation period, the secretion of cervical endometrial glandular cells is vigorous, so the amount of leucorrhea increases, which is very similar to thin and transparent egg white. When the cervical mucus is pulled with two fingers, it can be stretched to several centimeters without breaking, and it has very good elasticity. This phenomenon cannot be observed in the second half of the menstrual period. 2-3 days before and after the menstrual period, due to pelvic congestion, vaginal secretions increase, leucorrhea is also more, sometimes slightly bloody, and slightly brown when the corpus luteum is insufficient.

When women have sex after marriage (including pre-marital sexual fantasies, masturbation, and sexual impulses), sexual excitement will cause pelvic congestion, followed by a large increase in vaginal secretions and a significant increase in leucorrhea. The longer the stimulation time and the stronger the stimulation, the more secretions. These are all normal physiological phenomena and reactions.

However, although some women pay great attention to cleanliness, they still have a lot of leucorrhea; the odor is so strong that it makes people cover their noses; or the color and nature of the leucorrhea change significantly, indicating that something abnormal is going on. When married women experience these conditions, the first thing they think of is problems related to sexual activity?

Abnormal leucorrhea is usually a manifestation of genital tract inflammation. Married women generally have a higher chance of infection, which is largely related to their frequent sexual life. The man does not wash his hands when caressing with his hands, and his nails are too long to harbor dirt; both parties or one of them does not pay attention to cleaning the lower body before intercourse, especially the man has poor hygiene habits; the man suffers from phimosis or foreskin is too long, and is lazy to urinate and clean after intercourse, etc. These are all important reasons for abnormal leucorrhea in women.
