Is my vaginal discharge wet recently a sign of pregnancy?

Many women will have more leucorrhea during pregnancy. This is a very normal physiological phenomenon. During pregnancy, the workload of the uterus is very large, so some leucorrhea will be discharged at this time. In the early stages of pregnancy, the symptoms are very similar to those before menstruation, so it is easy to feel more leucorrhea. So, is the recent wet leucorrhea a sign of pregnancy?

(1) Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea: mostly caused by the use of estrogen drugs or physical weakness. Symptoms include normal appearance, heavy vaginal discharge, and lower back pain and fatigue.

(2) Purulent leucorrhea: It is often caused by purulent bacterial infections such as Trichomonas vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, endometritis, uterine effusion, and vaginal foreign bodies. It appears yellow or yellow-green and has a fishy smell.

(3) Tofu-like leucorrhea: It is caused by candidal vaginitis, accompanied by vulvar itching.

(4) Bloody leucorrhea: It is mostly caused by cervical polyps, severe chronic cervicitis, cervical cancer, uterine cancer or side effects of intrauterine contraceptive device. In particular, there is varying amounts of blood mixed in the leucorrhea, accompanied by dizziness.

Around one month of pregnancy, due to changes in hormone concentrations in the body, the secretion of cervical glands increases, and the vaginal mucosa proliferates to produce white mucus, called leucorrhea. Increased leucorrhea is a precursor to pregnancy. If the menstrual cycle is normal, you can do an early pregnancy test if your period is delayed for a week, or go to the hospital for a blood HCG test 10 days after having sex to confirm the diagnosis. If your period is delayed for about 6 weeks, you can do an ultrasound to see the gestational sac.
