Will I miss ovulation if I have sex the day after ovulation?

Some people think that the survival period of an egg is relatively long, so they believe that pregnancy will occur if they have sex the day after ovulation. In fact, the survival period of the egg after being released is generally no more than 24 hours, so the best time to have sex during ovulation is three days before or one day after ovulation, so the chance of conception will be greater. Friends who are preparing for pregnancy can learn more about this.

Will I miss ovulation if I have sex every other day?

1. After the egg is released, it can generally only survive for 12 to 24 hours. Sperm can usually only survive for 1 to 3 days in the female reproductive tract. Therefore, generally speaking, it is easiest to get pregnant from 3 days before ovulation to 1 day after ovulation.

2. If the sperm starts running early, that is, having sex once every two days one week before ovulation, this will allow the sperm to reach the fallopian tube early or on time and meet with the egg to form a fertilized egg while ensuring the quality of the sperm.

3. Therefore, the best time to have sex during the ovulation period is after the ovulation period begins, and have sex every other day to ensure the quality of sperm and maximize the chance of conception. After sex, it is best for women to lie on their backs for a while to promote conception.

How many days does it take for the fertilized egg to implant?

1. It takes 6-7 days for the fertilized egg to implant. 3-4 days after the fertilized egg implants (equivalent to about the tenth day after ovulation), a weak positive result can be detected using an early pregnancy test.

2. Positioning: The zona pellucida disappears before implantation, and the late blastocyst contacts the endometrium with its inner cell mass.

3. Adhesion: After the late blastocyst adheres to the endometrium, the outer layer of trophoblast cells is the syncytiotrophoblast layer, and the inner layer is the cytotrophoblast layer.

4. Invasion: Syncytiotrophoblasts secrete proteinases to dissolve endometrial cells, stroma and blood vessels, completely bury themselves in the endometrium and are covered by the endometrium.

Having sex every other day will not miss the ovulation period. In fact, compared with frequent sex during the ovulation period, if you can reduce the frequency of sex, it may be easier to conceive successfully. After all, if you have sex too frequently, the uterus loses its sensitivity to semen, and it is more likely that the sperm and egg will not be able to combine. Therefore, not having sex every other day will not miss ovulation, and it is also a way to relieve the fatigue of preparing for pregnancy when having sex frequently.

Ovulation calculation

1. Based on the relationship between ovulation and menstruation, the ovulation period can be calculated according to the menstrual cycle. The calculation method is to count from the first day of the next menstrual period, and count down 14 days or subtract 14 days to get the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. This is the theoretical basis of the rhythm method of contraception.

2. Ultrasonic examination method. Currently, major domestic hospitals use vaginal B-ultrasound to observe the size of the ovaries, measure the size of follicles, and infer when ovulation occurs. The follicle is generally about 2-3 mm in size. It will gradually increase in size as ovulation approaches, reaching 18 mm 2 days before ovulation and increasing to over 20 mm on the day of ovulation. If the observation day happens to be the ovulation day, sometimes you can even see the rupture of the follicle on ultrasound.

3. The urine test method can monitor the follicles by B-ultrasound under the guidance of a doctor. When the follicles reach about 1.8 cm, measure the urine LH every 2-4 hours. A drop peak can be considered as a urine LH peak. Ovulation occurs within 12-24 hours of the peak.

If it is not convenient to monitor follicles, you can combine the previous menstrual cycle and test urine LH two days before the expected ovulation. The initial interval can be longer. When the urine LH value rises significantly, you can monitor it every 2-4 hours. This method is semi-quantitative, simple to operate, economical, non-destructive, and convenient for self-monitoring.
