The difference between miscarriage and menstruation

During pregnancy, if miscarriage occurs, the most typical symptoms are bleeding and pain, especially bleeding, which can clearly reveal abnormalities. Although bleeding does not necessarily mean miscarriage, any bleeding should be taken seriously. In order to make a better distinction, many people are concerned about the difference between miscarriage and menstruation, hoping that this can be used as a standard. So, what is the difference between miscarriage and menstruation?

First of all, we need to understand the symptoms of menstruation and miscarriage. Gynecologists point out that menstruation refers to regular vaginal bleeding in women once a month. When women enter puberty, their ovaries begin to mature and start to secrete female hormones, and the endometrium changes accordingly, resulting in menstruation. The normal menstrual cycle of women should be 28 days. The menstrual period usually lasts 3-5 days, and the amount of menstrual blood is about 20-50 ml. Some women experience symptoms such as lower abdominal distension, back pain, breast development, emotional distress, and stomach pain before or during menstruation.

Miscarriage refers to the death of the fetus in the womb during a pregnancy of more than three months but before 24 weeks of pregnancy due to weak Qi and blood, kidney deficiency, etc. Signs of miscarriage are abdominal cramps, vaginal bleeding and red discharge. Studies have found that in the early stages of pregnancy, about 50% of fertilized embryos cannot develop successfully and will be excreted from the body with menstrual blood.

What to eat after childbirth

1. Eggs. As a relatively common nutritional product, eggs are rich in nutrients and high in protein. They also contain lecithin, yolk, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. They are easy to digest and are suitable for women after miscarriage or induced abortion. After miscarriage, women do not need to eat more than 4 to 6 eggs a day.

2. Brown sugar. It is commonly known that the food that best understands women’s hearts is brown sugar. Since brown sugar contains much more glucose than white sugar, drinking brown sugar will warm the whole body of women after miscarriage. The high iron content in brown sugar can replenish blood for women after miscarriage. Brown sugar contains a variety of trace elements and minerals, which can promote diuresis and the discharge of lochia. Brown sugar also has an analgesic effect. But don't consume too much, generally it should not exceed 10 days.

3. Soup. Protein-rich soup. For example, chicken soup, fish soup, and pork rib soup contain proteins, vitamins, and minerals that are easily absorbed by the human body. They are delicious and can stimulate the secretion of gastric juice and increase appetite.
