Bleeding half a month after cesarean section

Bleeding half a month after cesarean section

Caesarean section is a common way of giving birth for women. This method can cause great harm to women's bodies, and it takes a certain amount of time for the wound to recover after the operation. Women will also have lochia after caesarean section, because lochia generally lasts for a long time, and some women can even have it for up to two months. So why is there bleeding half a month after caesarean section?

This is the postpartum recovery stage. It has been half a month now and the lochia should have ended. Is there too much bright red bleeding? Check if the bleeding increases. If it does not increase, it is not a big problem. Just keep a good attitude and observe. If the number of pulses continues to increase, it indicates that the uterine contractions are not good and there is bleeding in the uterus, and a check-up is needed to confirm the diagnosis.

Things to note after cesarean section

1. You can eat liquid food 6 hours after cesarean section, such as steamed egg custard, clear chicken soup, lotus root powder, etc.; avoid eating food that causes bloating, such as milk, soy milk, etc.; after the gas is discharged, you can eat some semi-liquid food such as porridge, soup, noodles, etc., and then transition to a normal diet. The meals should be diversified, with a combination of meat and vegetables.

2. After the operation, when the anesthesia wears off, you can do some simple stretching exercises of the upper and lower limbs. After 24 hours, practice turning over, sitting up, and getting out of bed slowly and walking a little. This can not only enhance gastrointestinal motility, exhaust gas as soon as possible, and facilitate the discharge of lochia, but also prevent intestinal adhesion and venous thrombosis. You should also try to breastfeed your baby without causing milk stasis.

3. Generally, on the second day after surgery, when the effects of anesthetic drugs have completely disappeared, the bladder muscles will resume their urination function. At this time, the catheter can be removed. You should urinate in time 3 to 4 hours after removal to avoid urinary tract infection caused by keeping the catheter for too long.

Why is there bleeding again half a month after a caesarean section? If this situation continues frequently, you should go to the hospital for a check-up. Some people think that care after a natural birth is important. In fact, it is very important whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section. After a caesarean section, you should pay attention to not letting the wound get wet. Showering is not recommended, and a simple wipe will be enough. Wait until your wound has healed before showering.
