How long after giving birth can you get a haircut? Time wisely

After giving birth, women probably haven’t taken care of their hair for a long time. I believe they are too embarrassed to go out and see people. After giving birth, they can’t wait to go to the barber shop to get a haircut and dress themselves up beautifully after a few days of recovery. So, how long after giving birth can you get a haircut? Are there any precautions? Let us find out together.

1. Mothers can get a haircut after the confinement period! It’s not a big deal! Cutting your hair short and clean will make you feel more comfortable! But you can’t do your hair. I mean you can’t dye or perm your hair, because you need to breastfeed your baby. Hair dyes and perms are toxic and can enter the bloodstream through the skin and affect breast milk. If your baby is breastfeeding, it’s best not to do your hair. My baby is three months old and I still don’t dare to do his hair. I’ll do it after he’s weaned.

2. You cannot do your hair during breastfeeding, so you need to pay attention to this. Because some chemical components in the perm solution can be absorbed through the scalp and enter the body, thereby affecting breast milk, which may affect the child. Although there is currently no scientific data showing the extent of the impact, it is still best not to perm your hair. It is recommended to do your hair after weaning.

3. It is best not to perm or dye your hair during breastfeeding. Fixatives contain freon, which is toxic if inhaled; however, no one has conducted any research or observation on whether it can enter breast milk. In addition, pregnant women should not have their hair permed during the first three months of pregnancy because the compounds in the perm solution can reach the fetus through the placenta and affect the fetal development. The irritants, such as alkaline nitro compounds and hydrogen peroxide, can easily induce skin rashes and respiratory diseases. After the child is born, the impact of the above toxic compounds from breast milk is much smaller than that during the fetal period.
