Everyone may have experienced stomach pain. For men, stomach pain is usually caused by intestinal pain or stomach pain, etc., but for women, stomach pain may also be caused by uterine pain. If it is really caused by uterine pain, the impact on the human body is very large. Therefore, people need to be able to distinguish between intestinal pain and uterine pain. Here we will introduce the differences between them.

What is the difference between intestinal pain and uterine pain?

In fact, there is not much difference in the location of the uterus and the intestines, mainly because the uterus and the intestines are both in the pelvic cavity. The uterus is generally located between the bladder and the rectum, which belongs to the middle part of the pelvic cavity. Compared to the intestines, the uterus is much closer to the abdominal wall, and a large part of the intestines are distributed in the abdomen. The part located in the pelvic cavity belongs to the rectum, and the pain is usually in the rectum. It is located behind the uterus. The saying "uterus in front, intestines behind" refers to it.

How to differentiate between intestinal pain and uterine pain?

Apart from easily distinguishable symptoms such as diarrhea and constipation, it is difficult for us to distinguish whether it is intestinal pain or uterine pain. But generally speaking, normal uterine pain is paroxysmal, that is, the pain starts suddenly, then continues to hurt, and then goes away after a while. The pain usually occurs during menstruation and before and after ovulation. If it is pathological uterine pain, it may also be accompanied by abnormal leucorrhea. If the pain occurs at short intervals, lasts for a long time, or has no periodic pattern, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible.

For intestinal pain, if you want to fart or go to the toilet at the same time as the pain, it can often be determined to be a gastrointestinal problem. The intestinal pain manifested by intestinal pain lasts for a long time. As long as you don't defecate, it will continue to hurt. It is a persistent pain.

There are differences in the symptoms of pain between intestinal pain and uterine pain:

There is a certain difference in the pain between intestinal pain and uterine pain. The pain in the uterus comes in waves, and it is mainly a dull pain in the lower abdomen. And only the lower abdomen hurts, and other parts of the body are normal. In comparison, intestinal pain is very different. Not only is it persistent, but it is also a severe pain with colic as the main pain and contraction pain as the auxiliary pain. Intestinal pain may also affect the bladder in a chain reaction, making you feel the crazy peristalsis of your intestines and unable to resist the urge to go to the toilet.
