What to eat for liver detoxification in women

For women, if they do not take proper care of themselves in daily life, it will often lead to decreased liver function. Poor liver function will often lead to a yellow complexion and skin spots. When this happens, you must strengthen your lifestyle and eat more foods that help detoxify. For example, carrots, lemons, and honey are all good foods for protecting the liver and have a good effect in promoting liver detoxification. Let's take a look.

What to eat for liver detoxification in women

1. Carrot juice

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which can be converted into vitamin A in the human body. In addition to its eye protection function, vitamin A can also help the liver eliminate toxins from the body and reduce fat in the liver. In addition, the dietary fiber in carrots can help clean out waste in the colon and speed up its excretion from the body.

Drinking carrot juice is a healthy choice. However, it is best to squeeze it freshly. Some beverages claiming to be carrot juice actually contain added ingredients far higher than the original carrot juice, and they basically have little effect on supplementing vitamin A.

2. Lemonade

Add half a lemon or lemon juice to water and drink it while it is hot. This is beneficial to the normal functioning of the digestive system and lymphatic system, and thus helps to remove waste from the body. Lemon water helps detoxify the liver and cleanses it by promoting bile production. Lemon water also helps control excess bile, reduces mucus production in the body, and helps dissolve gallstones.

The lemon water must be light. Soak a large piece of lemon with skin in a bottle of water, and it is suitable to pour out 3-4 small cups of water. This kind of lemon water does not have a strong sour taste, and you can drink it without frowning even without adding sugar or honey. The energy it contains is almost negligible, avoiding the calories brought by adding sugar.

3. Honey water

Nutrition experts believe that honey is a natural food that combines all nutrients in one. It is rich in active substances and moisture required for life activities, and can be used to blend white medicine in traditional Chinese medicine. Honey has a protective effect on the liver, can promote the regeneration of liver cells, and has a certain inhibitory effect on the formation of fatty liver.

It is best to use royal jelly and honey together in a ratio of 1:5, but they can also be used alone. They can protect the liver, improve immunity, enhance the phagocytic ability of macrophages, and increase the production of interferon.

4. Celery juice

Celery has the effects of calming the liver and lowering blood pressure, calming the nerves, eliminating irritability, and promoting diuresis and reducing swelling. The rich fiber contained in celery can act like a purification device, filtering out various wastes in the body. Regular consumption can stimulate the body's detoxification and combat diseases caused by the accumulation of toxins in the body.

After washing the celery, rinse it with purified water, put it in a juicer, add a small amount of purified water and sugar, squeeze it into juice and it is ready to eat. For freshly squeezed celery juice, you can choose yellow heart celery, which has a lighter medicinal flavor, a tenderer texture, and the juice tastes milder. If you like the original flavor, try to add less sugar or no sugar.

5. Red Date Tea

Red dates can promote the production of white blood cells, improve one's immunity, prevent tumors, alleviate the toxicity of other drugs, and achieve the effect of protecting the liver. Experiments have shown that giving people with poor liver function red dates water every day for a week can increase human serum protein, thereby helping to protect the liver and detoxify.

Wash the red dates, add appropriate amount of water (not enough to cover the red dates), bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer until the water evaporates and the red dates are soft; use a whisk to mash the red dates and let cool; put the mashed red dates paste into a clean bottle; add the same amount of honey as the red dates paste, stir well, and refrigerate; when eating, take appropriate amount of honey and red dates, mix with warm water and drink it, or use a filter to filter out impurities such as red date skin before drinking.
