37 weeks pregnant anal swelling

37 weeks pregnant anal swelling

It usually takes ten months, or about forty weeks, for a woman to get pregnant and give birth. A pregnant woman who is 37 weeks pregnant is in the late stage of pregnancy. During this period, the fetus in the woman's body is about to enter the pelvis and will begin to press on the rectum, causing a feeling of heaviness and distension in the anus. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon, so pregnant women at 37 weeks do not need to worry if they experience a feeling of heaviness and swelling in their anus. So, what should I do if I feel a sense of heaviness and distension in my anus at 37 weeks of pregnancy?

In the late pregnancy, as the fetal presenting part descends into the pelvis and compresses the rectum, it can cause anal distension and a feeling of defecation. It also compresses the bladder and can cause frequent urination. If the patient also has regular uterine contractions, it is considered a sign of labor. Things to note during late pregnancy:

1. Prenatal check-up

In the third trimester, in addition to monitoring the growth of the fetus, it is also possible to see whether the placenta is functioning normally. Your doctor will decide how you will deliver your baby through prenatal examinations.

2. Medication

During the third trimester, your biggest headache may be swelling in your legs and feet. In fact, in most cases, no special treatment is needed, just pay attention to rest.

If you find that your blood pressure is high, be sure to see a doctor and do not take the antihypertensive drugs you took before pregnancy at will to avoid unnecessary danger.

In the final stage of pregnancy, although the fetus' condition has stabilized and medication has little effect on the fetus, it is still necessary to avoid infection with bacteria, and taking medication is always the last option.

3. Walking

If you have a big belly, you should keep your balance when walking, pay attention to your footing, and avoid walking on uneven roads. It is best to wear low-heeled and stable slippers to prevent yourself from falling due to unstable center of gravity.

4. Exercise

Walk more and do some prenatal gymnastics appropriately, which is very beneficial for natural childbirth.

5. Go out

If you must go out, be accompanied by someone and choose safe means of transportation. In particular, avoid riding in a car that is bumpy or that travels for a long time.
