My underwear is always wet and smells bad

Many women have encountered such a problem: their underwear is always wet and they cannot be changed in time, or it will continue to be wet when they are changed. This not only makes the private parts uncomfortable, but also affects their mood for the whole day. What is the reason? It turns out this is what kept my underwear wet. If this situation continues for a long time without treatment, it will be harmful to the female body.

1. What exactly is it?

It is a product of the body, some of which are metabolized from the cervical gland ducts, some from the vaginal wall, and a small part is metabolized from the uterine wall gland ducts and the large gland ducts on both sides of the vulva. This secretion may be composed of more than 20 types of microorganisms, including squamous epithelial cells shed from the vaginal mucosa, secretions of the labia majora, a large number of vaginal lactobacilli, and a small amount of white blood cells.

2. Can I get treatment for the strange taste?

It is a normal physiological phenomenon and there is no need to eliminate it. Because this belongs to the self-cleaning function of the vagina, the metabolism of this is not only beneficial to the human body, but also because the squamous epithelial cells contain "glycogen", which will be converted into lactic acid bacteria when exposed to vaginal lactobacilli, making the vaginal fluid acidic and alkaline. This acidic and alkaline environment can protect the vagina from invasion by foreign pathogens.

3. What does it relate to?

If the estrogen level in a woman's body increases, the corresponding secretions will also increase. This secretion is the "discharge" that many women hate. And if it is also related to many other factors. Factors such as taking emergency contraceptives, antibiotics, illness, pregnancy, poor sleep, and diet structure may all affect abnormal leucorrhea.

4. What does it mean if there is a lot of secretion during the menstrual period?

It means that ovulation is approaching. Due to the active metabolism of cervical endometrial gland cells during ovulation, the secretion is like very thin and clear egg white, which is very obvious and abundant. However, after the ovulation period, until 2 days before menstruation, the pelvis begins to swell and secretions will increase again. At this time, you need to pay attention and prepare sanitary napkins in advance.

5. But what is the reason why it is often wet?

Some women with high levels of estrogen metabolize very quickly and secrete a lot of substances. If the secretion is thin and transparent, it is normal, but if it is light green or grayish white and has a strong odor, it is worth noting and you can go to the doctor for medicine or treatment.
