Women need to go through the leucorrhea period and menstrual period every month, and these two stages will keep the lower body wet for a long time. In addition, due to lack of attention to hygiene, it is easy to cause urethritis or vaginitis infection. Many women's urethritis is due to the infection of the relative organs and the breeding of bacteria. In this regard, you must pay attention to personal hygiene issues, and also pay attention to cleanliness and take measures to prevent urethritis. To prevent urinary tract infection, we must both utilize the body's defense mechanism and avoid susceptible factors. (1) Drink plenty of water and urinate frequently: Drink plenty of water every day and urinate once every 2 to 3 hours. Excreting large amounts of urine in a timely manner can flush the renal pelvis, ureter and bladder, thereby reducing the incidence of urinary tract infections. This is what is meant by “running water never rots, door hinges never rot.” Drinking tea or light bamboo leaves instead of tea also has a certain preventive effect. (2) Pay attention to personal hygiene: The large number of bacteria living in the female perineum and urethra is a prerequisite for urinary tract infection. Therefore, you should always pay attention to the cleanliness of your genitals, take a bath and shower frequently, and change your underwear frequently. But be careful not to overdo it when cleaning your genitals! (3) Eliminate chronic infection factors: Actively treating chronic colitis, chronic gynecological diseases, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, hypertension and other diseases that are prone to urinary tract infections is an important measure to prevent recurrence. (4) Avoid using urinary instruments and catheters as much as possible. If it is really necessary, you must go to a regular hospital and strictly follow aseptic procedures! (5) Preventive medication: For preventive use of antibiotics, one of the following can be selected: co-trimoxazole, pipemidic acid, or ampicillin. If there are no adverse reactions, it can be taken for a long time. Generally, patients do not urinate after sleeping, and urine stays in the bladder for a long time, which is conducive to the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Therefore, taking a dose of antibiotics before going to bed can inhibit the growth of bacteria and has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on urinary tract infections. (6) Adhere to standardized treatment: Patients with chronic urinary tract infection should patiently follow the doctor's orders for treatment and not stop taking medication at will. Even after the symptoms disappear, they should go to the hospital for regular checkups. Medication can only be stopped after the urine bacterial culture is normal several times or after the planned treatment course has ended without recurrence. (7) Second urination: For patients who have residual urine volume as measured by B-ultrasound, that is, they cannot urinate completely in one go, they should urinate for 2 to 3 minutes at a time and then urinate again to completely empty the urine in the bladder. |
