Women are not suitable for sterilization in the following 7 situations:

1. Women who are pregnant should not undergo sterilization surgery.

2. For patients with more serious mental illness, surgical treatment should be postponed.

3. Women whose body temperature is above 37.5 degrees twice within 24 hours.

4. Women with heart disease, obesity, diabetes, bilateral fallopian tube infection, etc. are not suitable for vasectomy.

5. The body is very weak and cannot withstand sterilization surgery, such as patients with postpartum hemorrhage, shock, heart failure, etc., even if sterilization surgery is a minimally invasive surgery.

6. Abdominal skin infection and sexual organ infection. For example, if a woman is suffering from acute or chronic pelvic infection or various gynecological inflammations, it is not suitable for her to undergo ligation surgery. It is best to undergo ligation surgery after the disease is well controlled.

7. Pregnant women. Especially for women who have had sexual intercourse recently and may be pregnant, they may already be pregnant but do not know it without any related symptoms. Therefore, they should cooperate with the doctor to carry out pre-operative screening before undergoing vasectomy.

Golden time for female vasectomy

(1) Menstrual period: within 3-7 days after the end of menstrual period.

(2) Miscarriage: Surgery can be performed immediately after an abortion, but surgery for spontaneous abortion can only be performed at least one month after the operation. If a woman has already had an IUD inserted, surgery can only be performed after the IUD has been removed.

(3) Pregnant women: Pregnant women who choose to give birth naturally in the hospital can undergo the surgery 6 hours after giving birth. If they give birth outside the hospital, they will need to be hospitalized for observation for 1-2 days, and can only undergo surgery after their condition returns to normal. Pregnant women with dystocia should first be hospitalized for observation for about 5 days. If there is no abnormality, ligation surgery can be performed.

(4) During breastfeeding period: For breastfeeding women, the best time for surgery is 3-7 days after the menstrual period is restored. If the menstrual period has not been restored, then it can be performed on any day.

(5) Others: After cesarean section or other gynecological minimally invasive surgery, bilateral fallopian tube ligation can be performed at the same time.
