The baby was born with a deformity despite normal prenatal examination

If the prenatal check-up is normal, the baby will generally not be born with deformities, because the B-ultrasound during the prenatal check-up allows us to observe the development of the fetus in the uterus, so the probability of giving birth to a deformed baby if the prenatal check-up is normal is very low. However, the main reason for the birth of a deformed baby is a high fever in the early stages of pregnancy, which affects the baby's intellectual development. In addition, the diet and mood of the pregnant woman can also cause the baby to become deformed.

How to avoid fetal malformation as much as possible

1. Avoid fever and cold

In early pregnancy, avoid fever and cold. Even if a woman who has a high fever in early pregnancy does not have obvious external deformities in her child, the development of the brain tissue may be adversely affected, resulting in mental retardation, poor learning and reaction abilities, and this mental retardation cannot be reversed. Of course, high fever causing fetal malformation is also related to the pregnant woman's sensitivity to high fever and other factors.

2. Do a good job of pregnancy checkup

Create a perinatal health care card immediately after pregnancy, conduct regular check-ups, do Down syndrome screening at 14-20 weeks, and do ultrasound tests before 28 weeks. These tests can detect whether the fetus is deformed in the early stages of pregnancy. If there are pets at home, both people and pets will undergo relevant examinations.

3. Avoid mental stress during pregnancy

Human emotions are controlled by the central nervous system and endocrine system. One of the endocrine hormones, adrenal cortex hormone, is closely related to human emotional changes. When a pregnant woman is under stress, adrenal cortex hormones may hinder the integration of certain tissues of the embryo. If this happens during the first three months of pregnancy, it will cause deformities such as cleft lip or cleft palate in the fetus.

4. Avoid eating foods containing mycotoxins

Relevant experts pointed out that if pregnant women eat food contaminated with mycotoxins (moldy food), the mycotoxins can pass through the placenta to harm the fetus and cause chromosome breakage in the fetal cells.
