Bleeding during pregnancy

Bleeding during pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, women need to pay attention to many things because their hormone levels change. After a woman becomes pregnant, her menstruation will stop, which means that there will be no vaginal bleeding under normal circumstances. If vaginal bleeding clots occur in the early stages of pregnancy, first go to the hospital for examination to rule out the possibility of threatened abortion and then receive targeted treatment. This article introduces the precautions after medical abortion. Let’s take a look.

Precautions after medical abortion

1. After medical abortion, no matter how much bleeding occurs, sexual intercourse is prohibited before menstruation. Because the cervix is in a relaxed state during medical abortion, if you have sex at this time, it is easy to be infected by bacteria, causing continuous bleeding or gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease.

2. You cannot take a bath, flush the vagina, or swim within one month after medical abortion, otherwise you may be easily infected by bacteria.

3. After medical abortion, if vaginal bleeding lasts for more than 7 days, you should take antibiotics under the guidance of a doctor to prevent bacterial infection; if bleeding continues for more than 2 weeks, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out the cause, and a uterine curettage may be required if necessary.

4. After medical abortion, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. You can take some blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing drugs such as motherwort paste to promote uterine contraction, facilitate the expulsion of embryonic tissue, reduce vaginal bleeding, and shorten the bleeding time.

5. After medical abortion, you should pay attention to diet adjustment. The diet should be light. You can eat more foods rich in high-quality protein, such as lean meat, fish and other foods to enhance your physical fitness. Be careful not to eat too greasy food to prevent it from nourishing the stomach.
