Vaginal itching after cesarean section

Vaginal itching after cesarean section

Pregnancy and childbirth are a natural physiological phenomenon and a manifestation of natural laws. The progress of modern medicine has enabled women to give birth more safely. For example, cesarean section is a popular method, which is very beneficial to women's health. However, good care measures are required after the operation. Let's take a look at how to care for vaginal itching after cesarean section?

After cesarean section, the itching of the vulva can be cleaned with commercially available wash solution. If necessary, a routine examination of leucorrhea can be done and vaginal medication can be chosen for treatment. Usually, drug treatment is effective and has no effect on lactation and postpartum period.

Considering that the vaginal itching is caused by vaginitis, you cannot wash it with hot water. It is recommended to go to the hospital outpatient department to take vaginal secretions for examination, to determine the cause and prescribe the right medicine.

After the cesarean section, a postpartum infection occurred, which led to vaginitis. It is recommended to treat yourself with anti-inflammatory drugs. Cephalosporins or penicillins are generally safer. It is also possible to clean the vagina and flush it at the same time. It is best to receive treatment under the guidance of a doctor. After all, she still needs to breastfeed, so treatment still needs to be cautious.

So how do we care after a caesarean section?

1. Pregnant women need to drink a lot of water. Women who have had a cesarean section should drink plenty of water. This not only prevents constipation and facilitates breastfeeding, but frequent urination also helps flush urethral bacteria and avoid itching.

2. A large amount of lochia will be discharged after delivery. The lochia will flow through the vagina and accumulate in the vulva, causing external itching. Therefore, you must pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene, and insist on washing the vulva every day to avoid bacterial growth. At this time, we should also carefully observe the lochia. If there is any abnormality in the lochia, seek medical attention in time.

3. You can do moderate exercise after delivery to enhance immunity and wound recovery, and reduce bacterial infection to a certain extent.

4. To stay healthy, try to avoid sexual intercourse within three months after a caesarean section. This is because pregnant women have low immunity after childbirth and their body functions have not yet recovered. Sexual intercourse may cause infection to the vulva. It is not suitable to become pregnant immediately after a caesarean section. Even if you have sexual intercourse, you must take safety measures.

5. Avoid eating irritating foods after delivery and eat more light foods.
