If our body's physical signs are represented by a series of numbers, then we often need to ensure that our symptoms are within a reasonable range of values, otherwise our bodies will show symptoms of discomfort. For example, when doctors check blood pressure, they will use a blood pressure measuring instrument with a series of numbers on it. So what are the symptoms of low blood pressure in women? The normal blood pressure range is systolic pressure between 90-140mmhg (12.0-18.7kpa), and diastolic pressure between 60-90mmhg (8.0-12.0kpa). Above this range may be hypertension or borderline hypertension, and below this range may be hypotension. Hypotension usually refers to blood pressure below 90/60 mmHg. Symptoms of low blood pressure (1) Fatigue and weakness: Especially in the morning, patients often feel listless and weak in the limbs. The symptoms may improve after a nap or rest, but they feel weak again in the afternoon or evening. This feeling of fatigue is not commensurate with the physical energy consumed by the patient's actual work or activities. In other words, this fatigue is not always caused by overexertion. This fatigue may be caused by excessive and uncoordinated muscle contractions due to nervous system dysfunction, resulting in inappropriate muscle exertion. (2) Dizziness: In patients with hypotension, headache may be the only complaint. The headache is often more obvious after strenuous mental or physical activities. The nature and severity of the headache vary. It is often manifested as dull pain in the temporoparietal or suboccipital areas, or it may be severe throbbing pain or numbing pain. Dizziness can be mild or severe. In mild cases, the patient may experience black spots in the eyes; in severe cases, the patient may become unconscious or even fall to the ground. It often occurs when there is a sudden change, especially when standing up suddenly from a squatting position. In addition, it is also prone to occur under static and overloaded working conditions. Headache and dizziness may be related to low blood pressure leading to cerebral hypoperfusion. (5) Phenomenon of endocrine dysfunction: mainly manifested as a deficiency of substances such as adrenaline and norepinephrine, which are reduced and declined in some patients with hypotension. (6) Others: May manifest as weakness, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, increased or decreased blood volume, decreased resistance and susceptibility to infection. It can also cause coughing coma and urinary coma. Treatment of primary hypotension includes the following: (1) In terms of diet, the patient should be provided with a high-nutrition, easily digestible and vitamin-rich diet: appropriate supplementation of vitamin C, B vitamins and niacinamide (vitamin PP), etc. Appropriate consumption of coffee, cocoa and strong tea can help increase the excitability of the central nervous system, improve the function of the vasomotor center, and help increase blood pressure and improve clinical symptoms. In addition, drinking honey or royal jelly can also be beneficial. |
