How does gynecological inflammation occur?

Everyone knows that gynecological inflammation is actually a very troublesome disease, because it not only makes women feel abdominal pain during menstruation, but also is likely to affect women's healthy fertility, and sometimes even cause certain infections in women's sexual life. And the more times you have sex after having gynecological diseases, the more serious the disease will become. So how does gynecological inflammation form?

1. Physiological reasons

(1) The skin of the female vulva is very delicate, with abundant sweat glands, many wrinkles, hidden and not exposed, poor air permeability, and easy to be attacked by bacteria.

(2) The female reproductive organs and abdominal cavity are connected to the outside world, and pathogens can enter the uterus through the vagina.

(3) There are a large number of lactobacilli in the vagina, which can decompose glycogen to produce lactic acid, making the vagina acidic and unfavorable for the growth of harmful bacteria. However, when local resistance is reduced, some bacteria and pathogens will take advantage of the situation to enter.

(4) The vaginal opening is close to the urethral opening and anus, and is contaminated by urine and feces, making it easy for bacteria to breed.

(5) Due to menstruation, pregnancy and other reasons, the cervix is immersed in irritating secretions for a long time, and the epithelium is shed, which can easily lead to wrinkles in the cervical endometrium and the lurking of various pathogens in the glands.

2. Pathological causes

(1) Not paying attention to hygiene during menstruation, using unclean sanitary pads, having sex during menstruation, etc.

(2) Insufficient sterilization during intrauterine surgery.

(3) Gynecological surgeries such as abortion and childbirth can damage the cervix and vagina, leading to infection.

(4) Female vulva and genital mucosa are important organs involved in sexual activity, and sexual intercourse can cause damage or cross infection to local tissues.

How to prevent gynecological inflammation? To prevent gynecological inflammation, you should do the following:

1. Avoid excessive scratching, rubbing, washing with hot water, etc. for itchy areas. Do not use strong alkaline soaps for bathing. Do not use bath agents to repeatedly clean the vulva or rinse the vagina, which will cause changes in vaginal pH and lead to an imbalance in the normal vaginal flora, thereby destroying the vagina's acidic antibacterial barrier. Do not abuse highly irritating hormone topical medications.

2. Underwear should be soft, loose and preferably made of cotton. Avoid wearing down, nylon and woolen clothes close to your body, avoid washing underwear and socks together; do not leave clothes around in public bathrooms.

3. Pay attention to keeping the vulva area clean and dry, especially during menstruation. Do not wear synthetic underwear or jeans. The basin and towel for cleaning the vulva must be dedicated, and the towel should be boiled and disinfected regularly.

4. Do not exchange clothes with others, especially underwear.

5. Have regular gynecological examinations and prioritize prevention.

In addition to going to the hospital for active treatment, women with gynecological inflammation should also pay more attention to their diet. Patients with gynecological inflammation should avoid eating spicy foods. In fact, eating some anti-inflammatory and bactericidal foods in life can keep you away from gynecological diseases and have a healthy body. Pay attention to a healthy diet, learn some health knowledge, and use diet therapy to assist in treatment.
