Can I run during ovulation?

Running is becoming an increasingly popular form of sport among people, because it is relatively simple compared to other forms of sport, and its effects on the human body are also very obvious. However, women should not run during pregnancy or menstruation as this may increase their physical risks. There is another period in the female body, which is the ovulation period. So can you run during the ovulation period?

Can I run during ovulation?

You can run during ovulation. The ovulation period is regulated by the normal hormones in the body and cannot be artificially changed through exercise. However, try not to do too strenuous exercise during the ovulation period, just do moderate exercise. In fact, women have a more special period - the ovulation period. Doctors have found that many young white-collar women, due to lack of exercise, poor body resistance, and lack of attention to health care during ovulation, are prone to gynecological diseases such as uterine bleeding and endometriosis. It is recommended that women exercise moderately during ovulation.

The ovulation period of women is around 12-16 days in the menstrual cycle. At this time, due to the temporary drop in estrogen levels, about 20% of women will experience partial shedding of the endometrium due to loss of hormonal support, causing regular vaginal bleeding. However, this is easily ignored by women. Excessive exercise and eating raw and cold foods at will can cause bleeding, and excessive fatigue should be avoided.

There is a small amount of vaginal bleeding during ovulation. At the same time, there will be mild lower abdominal distension and pain, which usually lasts for several hours and disappears after 1 to 3 days. The cause of ovulation bleeding is currently unknown. It is most likely related to low estrogen levels. The endometrium loses hormonal support and some endometrium sheds. Excessive exercise, fatigue, mental stress and other factors may be a major cause of ovulation bleeding. Bleeding during this period is often easily ignored, which increases the chance of gynecological infection.

Ovulation bleeding care

Ovulation bleeding is a phenomenon that may occur in every woman. Ovulation bleeding refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding caused by ovulation in the middle of two menstrual periods. Generally, the amount of bleeding is very small and cannot be observed with the naked eye, but some people will have obvious bleeding symptoms and the severity cannot be generalized.

1. Keep a happy spirit during the ovulation period, avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. Some people may experience lower abdominal distension, back pain, breast pain, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, emotional instability, irritability or depression during the menstrual period. These are all normal and there is no need to be overly nervous.

2. Pay attention to hygiene during ovulation to prevent infection. Pay attention to the hygiene of the external genitalia. You must not have sexual intercourse during menstruation. Keep warm and avoid cold stimulation. Avoid overwork. People with heavy menstrual bleeding should avoid eating brown sugar.

3. During the ovulation period, underwear should be soft, made of cotton, with good ventilation and air permeability. It should be washed and changed frequently, and the changed underwear should be placed in the sun to dry.

4. During the ovulation period, you should avoid eating raw, cold, sour, spicy or other irritating foods. Drink more boiled water and keep your bowel movements smooth. People with hot blood should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables before menstruation, and avoid eating things that stimulate fire such as onions, garlic, leeks, and ginger. In addition, you can take vitamin E appropriately and consume more foods such as beans and milk to make up for the lack of estrogen and maintain ovarian function.
