Caesarean section wound is a bit painful

Caesarean section wound is a bit painful

One of the main reasons why many women choose natural childbirth instead of cesarean section is that although natural childbirth is more painful during the delivery process, the woman's body can recover easily after delivery, and it is not easy to leave scars on the body surface. Many women must pay attention to the care of their wounds after caesarean sections to prevent bacterial infection, but some women experience pain in their caesarean scars. What's going on?

Don’t worry too much if you feel pain inside the incision half a month after cesarean section. The incision will not heal so quickly. As long as there is no bleeding or suppuration, there is no problem. Pay attention to postpartum check-up. It takes more than a month for the incision to fully heal after a cesarean section. During the recovery period, you should pay attention to rest and keep the incision clean and dry. Don't wear pants that are too tight. Wear pure cotton and breathable clothes. Also, pay attention to rest, don't overwork, and get up and move your body appropriately.

Caesarean section incision recovery time

It takes a certain amount of time for a cesarean section incision to heal, usually more than a week. Generally speaking, due to the large area of surgical wound in cesarean section, the sutures or skin clips of the epidermal wound can be removed 5 to 7 days after the operation. The uterus should be basically recovered 40 days after cesarean section, and will generally be fully recovered 42 days after delivery (it takes about 4 to 6 weeks). However, the mother should go to the hospital for a gynecological examination 2 days after delivery and have an ultrasound to check the recovery of the uterine appendages. In fact, the recovery time varies from person to person due to factors such as the length of the incision, the doctor's sutures, and personal physical condition.

How to care for wounds after cesarean section?

1. Be careful not to get the wound wet or damaged. Try not to let the wound get wet for one week after delivery, and it is best to take a bath after one week.

2. The symptoms of discomfort can be improved by using beauty glue and gauze. After the operation, the doctor will apply cosmetic glue and gauze to the wound. The gauze can be removed after four days. If there is moisture, it should be removed immediately. The cosmetic glue can be torn off after one week and replaced with breathable paper tape.

3. You can use breathable tape. After taking a shower, remove all the tapes on the wound, dry the wound, and apply two pieces of 3M breathable tape, 2.5 cm wide, along the wound. The breathable paper tape is applied flatly. Attach it to the scar to prevent the wound from becoming thicker and wider. It can be changed every 3-4 days. Of course, it can come into contact with water at this time, but use a dry towel to absorb the surface of the tape. After the confinement period, you can apply a layer and persist for about 3-6 months.

4. When the wound is no longer very painful, continue massaging the wound for 3-5 minutes every day. Continuous massage can enhance skin elasticity, but it needs to be done every day.

5. Silicone gel can be used to promote wound recovery. Depending on your own situation and under the advice of a doctor, you can use silicone gel products appropriately to help promote scar healing.

6. Be sure to avoid exposing the wound under strong light. Avoid exposing the wound to sunlight.

7. If the wound becomes painful, burning, red and swollen, and becomes more and more serious, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time.
