Symptoms of blocked milk ducts

The healthy development of breasts has an extremely important impact on women's physical health, because women often encounter some very embarrassing problems during the development of breasts. For example, the symptoms of blocked mammary ducts are relatively common. It has a great impact on women who have just given birth and can cause breast inflammation, etc. Let's take a look at the symptoms of blocked mammary ducts.

Blockage of the milk ducts can cause milk stasis, which makes it easy for bacteria to multiply, and can further cause mastitis and breast lumps. Milk stasis and inflammatory lumps can be treated with anti-inflammatory and hot compress treatments. If there is no effect, surgical removal can be considered.

1. Fibrocystic breast disease. This disease can be called breast disease. It is very common in adult women. Its cause is currently unknown and may be related to estrogen levels. Breast pain and breast lumps are common symptoms. Breast pain is often related to the menstrual cycle. The common symptoms are worsening breast pain before menstruation and relief of pain after menstruation, and sometimes the pain is irregular. There are often multiple breast lumps, which are generally small, irregular in shape, and sometimes have unclear boundaries. This symptom can remain stable at a certain stage for a long period of time.

2. Breast fibroids: This disease occurs most frequently in the age group of 20-50 and is the most common type of benign breast tumor. The main cause of the disease is that the sensitivity of the fibroblasts in the lobule to estrogen is abnormally increased, which causes the fibroblasts to proliferate excessively and form tumors. Therefore, fibroadenomas are more common in children and young people. This disease is related to estrogen. As a woman, although suppositories and birth control pills are still possible, progesterone can play a certain protective role, but it should not be taken indiscriminately. Painless lumps appear in the breast, either single or multiple, with clear boundaries, movable, smooth surface, and no adhesion to the surrounding areas.

3. Mastitis: refers to acute and chronic mastitis and breast abscess caused by purulent bacteria invading the mammary gland.

Acute mastitis is most common in lactating women. It is mainly caused by blocked milk ducts, which leads to milk congestion and secondary bacterial infection. The treatment of the inflammatory period of acute mastitis is a critical stage. If treated properly, the inflammation can be absorbed and cured, otherwise it will form an abscess. If the disease is not completely cured, it will recur during lactation, and even necrotic lesions will form in the mammary ducts, leading to cancer.
