What are the symptoms of menopausal pain

When women reach around 40 years old, they will experience various symptoms such as irritability, insomnia, and menstrual disorders. These are all part of menopausal syndrome, a process that every woman must go through. However, everyone's symptoms are different, and there are more or less some differences. Generally, they will improve on their own without the need for medication. A small number of women have more serious conditions. This article introduces the specific manifestations of menopause, let’s take a look.

Menopausal syndrome in women often occurs between the ages of 40 and 60, and most women may experience symptoms of varying severity. About 85% of menopausal women can relieve their symptoms on their own, but about 25% of them have severe symptoms that affect their lives and work and require treatment. Young women may also experience menopausal syndrome after surgical removal of both ovaries or radiation therapy.

Clinical manifestations vary and can generally be divided into:

① Sexual aging: After women reach the age of 50, they will experience a decrease or partial cessation of sex hormone secretion, a lack of sexual desire, sexual boredom, sexual physiological damage, and atrophy of sexual function. Most women will naturally experience a cessation of fertility and hormonal cycles, atrophy of the vaginal mucosa, weakening of its lubrication ability, resulting in dyspareunia (pain during intercourse), disappearance of vaginal folds and vaginal wall elasticity, and atrophy and sagging of the breasts.

② Cardiovascular symptoms: flushing, hot flashes, sweating, palpitations, headaches, dizziness, and even increased blood pressure and angina pectoris;

③Psychoneural symptoms: anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia, irritability, inattention, forgetfulness, etc.;

④ Changes in menstruation and reproductive system: menstrual disorders, vulvar and vaginal atrophy, prone to senile vaginitis, uterine and vaginal prolapse, etc.;

⑤Others: osteoporosis, joint and muscle pain, bladder and urethra symptoms, etc. Menopausal women with the above symptoms can be diagnosed, but organic diseases of the cardiovascular and urogenital systems and schizophrenia must be excluded first.
