What causes nipple pain?

Nipple pain is caused by many reasons, such as uncomfortable underwear or the baby biting the nipples during breastfeeding. 1. What is the cause of nipple pain?

There are three common causes of nipple pain in clinical practice. One is trauma. The second is premenstrual pain, which is nipple pain combined with premenstrual breast hyperplasia. The third and most common cause is nipple pain during lactation. Nipple pain during lactation is divided into three categories. The most common cause is being bitten by the baby, which causes cracks at the base of the nipple. The second cause is poor breastfeeding. The baby does not suck correctly, causing nipple cracks and pain. There is also a situation that is a bit like the Raynaud reaction, which is more common in winter. During the breastfeeding process, the breast of a breastfeeding mother encounters this cold airflow, that is, after taking it out of the clothes, the nipple instantly becomes a little white, and the blood supply inside may be a little spasmodic. At this time, just apply a little hot compress, and the pain can be quickly relieved.

2. How to care for breasts

Step 1: Pour a small amount of prepared massage oil on your hands (or drop it directly on your chest), and then apply it evenly on your chest. If you feel that the massage is not very moisturizing or feels astringent during the massage, add a small amount of massage oil at any time.

Step 2: Use your thumb on one side and the other four fingers together on the other side, open your palms, and push from the outside of the chest to the center to prevent the chest from expanding outward, 30 times on each side.

Step 3: Based on step 2, keep your hands in the same shape and start from the left chest. Use your left hand to push the left breast toward the center from the outside. After reaching the center, use your right hand to push the left breast upward from the bottom until it reaches the clavicle. That is to say, use both hands to push the left breast. Repeat 30 times. Switch to the right breast. This action is very important.

Step 4: Make your hands into a cup shape with your fingers slightly apart so that they can cover your breasts. Bend down slightly, cover your breasts with both hands, and pull from the bottom (not the lower part) toward the nipples. Repeat 20 times.

Step 5: Use your hands to make circular massage around your breasts until all the remaining essential oil on your breasts is absorbed. At this point, a process is completed.
