What should I do if my menstruation doesn’t come clean?

Menstruation is a physiological manifestation of the female body, but when a woman suffers from some serious illness or becomes pregnant, menstruation will stop or become abnormal. In life, some women are always easily troubled by menstruation. For example, menstruation always seems to be difficult to come, and they are particularly annoyed by menstruation every day. So the question is, what should women do when their menstruation is not clean?

If it is a young teenage girl who has just had her period, the main consideration is that her ovarian function is not yet mature, her endocrine system is not yet balanced and stable, and coupled with the pressure of schoolwork, there is generally no need to worry too much.

If you are an adult woman, you should consider some gynecological diseases. Chronic endometritis can cause prolonged menstruation due to poor blood circulation, degeneration and necrosis of the endometrium, and requires a diagnostic curettage to clarify the condition.

Uterine fibroids require B-ultrasound to determine their size because large intramural fibroids can expand the uterine cavity and endometrium, leading to poor uterine contractions and prolonged menstruation. Small and asymptomatic fibroids do not need to be treated; if the uterus is enlarged, such as during pregnancy within two months, it can be treated by taking hormonal drugs; if the fibroids are larger, surgery must be performed to either remove the fibroids or remove the uterus.

Anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding can also cause prolonged menstruation due to defects in its own mechanism. Diagnostic curettage is required to stop bleeding and diagnose the condition. The main treatment option is combined hormone therapy.

Patients with endometriosis will have prolonged menstruation due to reasons such as ovarian anovulation and corpus luteum insufficiency. For women who have not yet given birth, the main treatment option is oral sex hormone therapy and early pregnancy; for women who have already given birth, most of them undergo surgical resection of the affected area.
