I feel pain in my vagina.

I feel pain in my vagina.

Women should pay close attention to the health of their reproductive organs. Even a small inflammation should not be ignored. If you ignore it, it will not go away by itself and will continue to inflame. Since women's cervix does not feel pain, they will not know if their cervix is inflamed. Therefore, they need to receive timely treatment when their vagina is inflamed. So, if women feel pain in their vagina from time to time, what is going on?

There are symptoms of mild cervical erosion and vulvar pain, but the condition is not very serious.

Mild cervical erosion does not require treatment, just pay attention to hygiene, but it is recommended to do a cervical cancer prevention examination. If the cancer prevention examination results are normal, nothing needs to be done. Just need to review it every year. It is recommended to avoid eating spicy food, pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, avoid mental stress, avoid fatigue, and avoid staying up late.

Current medicine believes that cervical erosion cannot be considered a disease. Most cervical erosions are physiological changes, and only a small part is caused by some gynecological diseases. Therefore, at present, cervical erosion is rarely used as a diagnosis. It is a physical sign, now called cervical erosion-like changes.

What are cervical erosion-like changes? Most cervical erosion-like changes are related to increased estrogen levels. During puberty or pregnancy, the estrogen level in women's bodies rises, causing the columnar epithelium in the cervical canal to extend outside the cervical opening. Because the columnar epithelium is thin, the blood vessels and stroma underneath are clearly visible, and the red area appears as fine granular red areas. It looks like erosion to the naked eye and was called cervical erosion in the past, but it is not actually true erosion.

There are no abnormal changes in pathology, and there is no true erosion with epithelial shedding or ulcers, so it is called cervical columnar epithelium ectopia. After menopause, estrogen levels decrease, the columnar epithelium moves into the cervical canal, and the erosion disappears. In addition, cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions and early cervical cancer may also present erosive changes. Therefore, the so-called "cervical erosion" in the past is inappropriate as a diagnosis of chronic cervicitis. Cervical erosion-like changes are only a clinical sign, which can be physiological changes (cervical columnar epithelial ectopia) or pathological changes (inflammation, cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions or early cervical cancer).
