How long does it take for the medicine to be discharged from the fetal sac?

Medical abortion is a method of expelling the gestational sac by taking medicine. Therefore, most women who choose medical abortion are most worried about whether their bodies can expel the gestational sac normally. Therefore, generally after taking the medicine, women will pay special attention to their physical conditions. However, most women are having a medical abortion for the first time, so they don’t know how long it will take for the gestational sac to be expelled after taking the medicine. So how long will it take for the gestational sac to be expelled after taking the medicine?

1. Treatment of gynecological diseases, such as various vaginitis or cervical erosion, usually with vaginal suppositories according to specific symptoms. In this case, the vagina usually needs to be cleaned after 24 hours, and then the medicine should be reapplied. According to the doctor's advice or course of treatment, follow-up examination is generally required every 7 days. For example, routine leucorrhea testing is used to evaluate the efficacy and healing status of the medication, and to decide on the next treatment plan, whether to continue using the medication, or to switch to other medications for vaginal medication treatment. Therefore, after applying the medicine into the vagina, the medicine will generally be discharged over a dozen hours. After 24 hours, it needs to be cleaned and re-applied. This is normal treatment, and the standard time period for taking the medicine needs to be strictly followed to ensure its effectiveness.

2. The gestational sac can be removed about 2-3 hours after taking the medicine for medical abortion. The specific time cannot be determined as it depends on the pregnancy situation of each patient, but it generally will not exceed 4-5 hours. If the gestational sac is not removed within 72 hours, it should be considered that the medical abortion failed. You need to go to the hospital for relevant examinations and, if necessary, artificial abortion surgery can be used for treatment.

If a woman's pregnancy is relatively short, no more than 50 days, she can have a medical abortion. This method of abortion is also relatively common, and it mainly involves taking medication to expel the gestational sac from the body. Medical abortion requires taking medicine for 3 days. After taking the medicine on the 3rd day, the gestational sac will be expelled.
