Can I get pregnant again after having a miscarriage?

Miscarriage is a terrifying experience for any woman because it means the pregnancy has ended and the baby cannot be born safely. Abortion can be roughly divided into two situations. The first situation is accidental abortion, such as falling, taking medicine, etc. The second situation is unexpected pregnancy, which is usually a proactive abortion. So after a miscarriage, can a woman still get pregnant if she wants a child?

Can I have a natural birth after having an abortion?

According to data, there are about 13 million induced abortions in my country every year, most of which are repeated abortions. Many female friends who have had abortions worry about whether it will affect the fetus when they conceive again. Can a damaged uterus still give birth naturally? Today we will talk about whether you can still give birth naturally after having multiple abortions.

Next, let us first understand what artificial abortion is.

Simply put, abortion is the process of removing an incompletely developed fetus from the body and ending the pregnancy.

The flow of people can be divided into the following categories:

1. Vacuum aspiration: For abortion within 10 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor will use a vacuum aspirator to suck out the fetus.

2. Curettage: During the 10-14 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is relatively large and cannot be sucked out by suction alone. The doctor must first use forceps to crush the fetus, then take out most of the fetal fragments little by little, and then use a negative pressure suction device to wash them out. It is best to scrape it clean with a curette.

3. Induction of labor: After 14 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is already quite large. At this time, drugs are used to stimulate uterine contractions to allow the pregnant mother to give birth to the incompletely developed fetus.

No matter which type of abortion is used, it will cause varying degrees of damage to the endometrium. The first 2/3 of the endometrium is the functional layer, which will be shed every month with the fluctuation of hormones. The main content of menstruation is the product of the shedding of this part of the endometrium. The back 1/3 of the endometrium is the basal layer, which generally does not change. If the basal layer is damaged, the endometrium will become thinner, which will then affect the implantation of the fertilized egg, just like the originally fertile soil suddenly becomes thinner, and the crops cannot get nutrients and naturally cannot grow.
