For women, gynecological diseases need to be prevented, especially women who have sexual lives must ensure clean sex lives, otherwise they may be infected with viruses and develop more serious diseases. HPV is a relatively common virus, especially the transient HPV virus. If a woman has strong immunity, she will eliminate the virus on her own, so there is no need to worry too much. But how do you determine whether it is a one-time HPV? The best way to find out whether it is transient HPV is of course to be examined by a doctor. 1. What is transient HPV HPV infection is an extremely common viral infection. Up to 80% of women may be infected with HPV in their lifetime. All sexually active women may introduce HPV into the reproductive tract through sexual contact. Just like a cold and fever, this condition is very common. However, most women can eliminate the HPV virus that enters their bodies through their own immune system, and this infection is only transient. Only a small number of women with weak immune function or defective immune mechanism are unable to eliminate HPV that enters the body, resulting in persistent HPV infection and the possibility of developing cervical cancer. This process also takes about 5 to 12 years. Therefore, HPV infection is usually "transient" or called "transient HPV carrier state". The average infection duration is 8 months. Most cases can be cleared and will not develop into precancerous lesions. Why HPV testing is not recommended for women under 30 years old? Domestic and foreign studies have shown that the HPV infection rate is high among young women under 30 years old, and the natural conversion rate is also high. On the contrary, the probability of cancer at this age is very low. Being infected with HPV is not something to be afraid of, as most cases will go away on their own! After being infected with HPV, the body's immune mechanism can eliminate HPV. The vast majority (more than 95%) of genital HPV infections are benign and can be cleared by themselves. Only a small number of women will become persistently infected. 3. How to deal with HPV positive If it is only HPV infection, TCT and colposcopy examinations are normal, and there is no cervical lesion, follow-up is usually adopted. A normal cervix is like a whole apple, and HPV infection is the pest on the apple. When the pests have not damaged the apples, we only need to check them regularly, because our own immunity is likely to drive the pests away. However, when pests start to damage apples and cause cervical lesions, we need to take certain measures. Currently, for the treatment of HPV infection, on the one hand, we can use antiviral drugs, and on the other hand, we need to improve our own immunity. There are many ways to improve immunity, one of which is through medication, such as interferon. In addition, you should pay attention to your diet, strengthen physical exercise, and maintain a regular life. In short, we should maintain a correct attitude towards HPV infection. We should neither ignore it nor panic too much. |
