Why are my nipples itchy?

Why are my nipples itchy?

Summer is here and the weather has become hot and humid. If you don't stay under the air conditioner, you will probably sweat profusely. If some parts that sweat easily are not cleaned properly, the humid and hot environment provides a breeding ground for bacteria. If you don't pay attention, some diseases are likely to occur. Breast disease is a disease that affects women's lives. When the nipples are itchy, women are too embarrassed to scratch them in public. So why do nipples become itchy and how can they be treated?

1. Eczema. It is the most common cause of breast itching and can occur in people of all ages. People with a history of allergies or a family history of allergies are more likely to develop eczema. Environmental triggers of eczema include dry skin, prolonged bathing, dyes and fragrances in skin care products, detergents, environmental allergens such as wool and foam, and stress. It is usually diagnosed by physical examination and medical history. Most treatments are topical, such as steroid creams. In addition, experts suggest that patient self-care and protection are also very important for alleviating eczema. Most importantly, avoid known allergy triggers. Try to keep your skin naturally moisturized. Try to use less soap and avoid long hot baths.

2. Paget's disease. It is a rare breast cancer that causes hypopigmented spots to appear on the nipple and areola in a reticular pattern. This is the most worrisome cause of nipple itching. The initial symptoms are itching or burning of the nipple and areola, accompanied by the appearance of crusty skin. There was no improvement after medical treatment. Yellow or bloody discharge may also appear at the lesion site. This disease only affects one side, and most patients are between 50 and 60 years old. The diagnosis is confirmed by clinical breast examination, patient history, mammogram, and ultrasound. If doubt remains, an MRI scan can be done to confirm the diagnosis.

3. Itchy and painful nipples during menstruation. Before, during or after menstruation, women experience unbearable nipple itching or pain that makes them unable to wear clothes, which gradually improves after the period ends. This is called "nipple itching and pain during menstruation." The nipple belongs to the liver, so this disease is mainly attributed to the liver. The main causes of this disease are qi stagnation, blood stasis and qi and blood deficiency.

These three habits are the most harmful to your breasts:

1. Like to use bras with too much lace and chemical fiber texture. Many people like bras with too much lace, thinking they are beautiful and sexy. If women often wear bras with too much lace or chemical fiber fabrics, they are prone to skin diseases such as hot flashes, itching, and even dermatitis. If you change to bras made of cotton, silk or other fabrics, the allergic symptoms can be alleviated or eliminated.

In addition, due to the repeated friction between the nipples and the bras, the fibers on the synthetic bras will enter the nipples and cause blockage of the milk ducts. Over time, the milk ducts become blocked, which not only affects future breastfeeding but may even cause mastitis.

Bras made of natural fabrics such as cotton and silk are more comfortable to wear, warm in winter and sweat-absorbent in summer. Therefore, women are advised to give them priority when purchasing them, especially breastfeeding women and patients with breast diseases.

2. Believe that "women's breasts are like time, if you squeeze them you will always have some more." The result of squeezing the cleavage for a long time is to reduce or block the return of lymph fluid in the breast, causing poor local blood circulation and leading to breast hyperplasia. In addition, long-term restricted breast movement will also affect normal breathing. In addition, squeezing the cleavage causes long-term pressure on the fiber bundles and mammary ducts in the breast, which will affect the secretion and discharge of postpartum milk and directly affect future breastfeeding.

In fact, if you take the time you would spend on squeezing your breasts to do some exercise and eat some delicious food, you can also shape perfect breasts. Push-ups are the best breast enhancement exercise. If you stick to it, you can successfully upgrade your cup size.

3. Women who think that using steel supports and sponges to create firmer breasts In order to make breasts more firm and attractive, "steel wires" and "sponges" have always played an important role. Since the steel support has a certain weight, it will compress the breasts and affect blood circulation. Over time, it will cause various lesions in the breast tissue. When women buy bras, it is best to choose those without steel supports.
