What to do if you have accessory breasts after giving birth

Some women will find a piece of flesh growing under their armpits right after giving birth. This piece of flesh is not only unsightly, but can even cause swelling and pain. This is what is called accessory breast. Accessory breasts can be congenital or acquired. If they appear after giving birth, they are called acquired accessory breasts. Some people may think that accessory breasts are simply unsightly, but this is not the case.

After giving birth, I developed various problems with my breasts. What was even worse was that a small lump of flesh grew in my armpits on both sides, similar to the flanks of my breasts. That’s right, this is the legendary “accessory breast”.

what to do? My sleeveless dress, my fresh little camisole…from now on, I can no longer expose my arms when I wear clothes! How embarrassing it is for the beauty-loving moms who still want to lose weight like lightning, become hot moms, and dazzle everyone. What should I do now? Don’t be anxious, let’s first understand where “accessory breast” comes from, and then find the right remedy to get rid of this hateful “little goblin”!

1. Where does “accessory breast” come from?

What is the cause of postpartum accessory breast

Many new mothers will find lumps and pain in their armpits after giving birth. The lumps are usually the size of an egg and do not appear before giving birth. They appear after giving birth at the same time as the breasts swell. They are not normal breast tissue, but congenitally underdeveloped breast tissue, the so-called "accessory breast".

Accessory breasts are divided into congenital accessory breasts and acquired accessory breasts. If there are no accessory breasts before delivery and only appear after delivery, they are acquired accessory breasts. It is mainly caused by breastfeeding habits, improper underwear wearing or weight gain.

This type of accessory breast does not normally secrete milk, so there is no feeling. When milk is secreted in large quantities, it may even accumulate into hard lumps, causing a feeling of distension and pain. This attracts the attention of new mothers, who then discover this "little goblin" that has appeared out of nowhere in their armpits.

After giving birth, mothers' body shapes will be very different from before giving birth. Their breasts tend to become loose and have fat, which can easily lead to the formation of accessory breasts.

There are three situations in which accessory breasts appear after childbirth :

1. There is breast tissue but no nipple.

2. There are nipples but no breast tissue.

3. There are both nipples and breast tissue. All accessory breasts with glandular tissue are affected by sex hormones like normal breasts, and show cyclical changes, premenstrual swelling and pain, and may also develop the same common diseases as normal breasts, such as hyperplasia, cysts, and accessory breast cancer.
