What to do if you don't have your period at 41

Women generally have their first menstruation after entering puberty. After the first menstruation, women will basically have their menstruation every month. When they reach a certain age, their menstruation will stop. This is called menopause. However, most women stop menstruating at around the age of 50. Some women find that they are 41 years old but their menstruation has stopped. What should they do at this time? Female friends, come and learn about this.

1. What to do if menstruation does not come at 41 years old

In this case, if you have ruled out the possibility of pregnancy, you need to consider that the irregular menstruation is caused by endocrine disorders. You can take progesterone to induce menstruation first. If menstruation still does not come after taking the medicine, it is best to go to the hospital to have a blood test for sex hormones, do a gynecological B-ultrasound to clarify the cause, and then choose appropriate hormone drugs to regulate according to the sex hormone level. It is recommended to do 6 sex hormone tests. The clinical significance of the six sex hormone tests is to understand female endocrine function and diagnose diseases related to endocrine disorders by measuring sex hormone levels.

2. Clinical manifestations of amenorrhea

Natural menopause occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, and the absence of menstruation before the age of 45 is called amenorrhea. The main symptoms of amenorrhea are irritability, hot flashes and sweating. These menopausal symptoms, which should only appear after the age of 45, have already afflicted young white-collar workers. Menopausal amenorrhea and premature ovarian failure are not only showing a trend of younger age, but also have an increasingly higher incidence rate.

3. Pathological amenorrhea

Amenorrhea caused by local lesions of the reproductive system and systemic diseases is called pathological amenorrhea. There are many causes of pathological amenorrhea, which can be divided into the following aspects:

1. Mental factors. Mental trauma, fear, tension, etc.

2. Malnutrition.

3. Systemic diseases. Such as severe anemia, tuberculosis, kidney disease, diabetes, etc.

4. Diseases of the uterus itself. Such as congenital absence of uterus, uterine hypoplasia, trauma, excessively deep curettage, intrauterine adhesions, etc.

5. Ovarian disease. Such as congenital absence or hypoplasia of the ovaries, surgical removal, malignant tumors, etc.

6. Endocrine gland diseases. Such as lesions of the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal gland, etc.
