Female contraceptives

Female contraceptives

There are more and more female contraceptive devices now, and people can choose according to their needs, but they must be especially careful not to take birth control pills for contraception unless it is absolutely necessary, especially emergency contraceptive pills. This method of contraception will bring many side effects to the body and may even lead to infertility. You must pay more attention.

Vaginal contraceptive ring

The vaginal contraceptive ring is a soft, transparent small ring with a diameter of about 5.4mm. It needs to be inserted once a month. Women can do it by themselves and can easily insert it into the vagina. After that, there is no need to use other contraceptive measures. The contraceptive rate can reach about 92%, which is relatively high. Take it out after three weeks and put in a new one after a week.

Female contraceptive patch

This contraceptive patch is about half the size of a business card and is flesh-colored. When attached to the skin, it will continuously release hormones that enter the blood through the skin to inhibit ovulation, thus achieving a contraceptive effect. It can be applied to the abdomen, buttocks, outer shoulders and outer arms, but not to the chest. The time to apply the patch is on the first day of menstruation or the first Sunday after menstruation, and then replace it with a new one on this day of each week. If applied for three consecutive weeks, the success rate can reach 92%.

1 Emergency contraceptive method: If you forget to take contraceptive measures or contraception fails, you can take emergency contraceptive pills. However, please note that emergency contraceptive pills are only a remedy for the failure of conventional contraceptive measures. They may cause nausea, vomiting, menstrual disorders and other discomforts. Therefore, try to take conventional contraceptive measures and avoid using this contraceptive method as a last resort.

Natural contraception methods: including interrupting sexual intercourse and calculating the safe period method. Interrupted sexual intercourse requires the penis to be pulled out of the vagina before orgasm, which is very difficult to implement. In addition, some sperm may leak into the vagina before ejaculation. It should be noted that this method is very unreliable. Long-term use can seriously affect men's physical and mental health and easily cause diseases such as prostatitis.

Hormonal contraceptive methods: Oral contraceptives are the most popular contraceptive method in the world, especially widely used by women in their early twenties. Combined oral contraceptives contain two hormones: estrogen and progestin. These two hormones can prevent the growth and maturation of egg cells in the ovaries, thus preventing ovulation from occurring.
