Early symptoms of pneumoconiosis

Pneumoconiosis is an occupational disease. First of all, we need to know that pneumoconiosis is mainly distributed in industrial sectors such as coal, nonferrous metals, machinery, building materials, and light industry. The most common cause is long-term inhalation of large amounts of dust, powdered particles, and free silica. The early symptoms of pneumoconiosis are not too detailed, but we can judge by the following symptoms.

1. Coughing with sputum, which is mostly viscous, yellowish or black in color. Coughing is the main means of expelling "dust" from the bronchial ducts. Sputum is a reaction caused by the irritation of the villi on the bronchial ducts by dust and other substances. If you work in a dusty environment for a long time and cough constantly, you need to pay attention.

2. The nose is always dry and breathing is irritating. The nasal cavity can clean out fine particles such as dust. At this time, you should pay attention. Since the internal environment of our nasal cavity is moist for a long time, the villi in the nasal cavity can help us filter most of the impurities in the air. If the nasal cavity is dry and breathing is always irritating, it means that the living environment of the nasal villi has deteriorated, the filtering ability has decreased, and the probability of inhaling dust in the lungs is greater.

3. Shortness of breath. In most cases, patients with early-stage pneumoconiosis will experience mild shortness of breath when engaging in physical labor. However, because the symptoms are mild, they are often ignored by patients. As the disease progresses, the shortness of breath will become more and more severe.

Finally, it is recommended that friends who work in dusty environments must undergo regular physical examinations, and check and treat early.
