24 weeks pregnant, hard and tight belly

Pregnancy is both a happy and painful thing. Pregnant women are under tremendous pressure throughout their pregnancy, not only psychological pressure but also various physical reactions. In the first few months of pregnancy, pregnant women often experience nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, and edema in the later stages. These are all normal phenomena. However, some pregnant women report that their stomachs become hard and tight during the 24th week of pregnancy, and they always feel very anxious. So, why does the belly become hard and tight at 24 weeks of pregnancy?

This is a very normal situation for the mother. Lying flat on your back will put severe pressure on the fetus and may easily lead to uterine locking. Therefore, try not to lie flat on your back. You should sleep on your side, and it is best to sleep on your left side.

Pay attention to rest, keep warm, avoid fatigue, avoid getting anxious and angry, keep bowel movements smooth, and avoid irritation of the nipples and stomach. As long as it doesn't hurt, you can be hospitalized at any time.

Bleeding, early miscarriage and rupture of membranes are all possible. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination. At the same time, excessive fetal movement will not cause bleeding, although the timing is about the same.

It is caused by normal fetal movement or occasional uterine contraction, so it is not a big deal and is normal. It is recommended to have regular ultrasound examinations to observe the development of the fetus.

Generally speaking, in a situation like this, if there is no continuous contraction, and it lasts for 30 seconds, and the pain occurs every 5 to 6 minutes, then it is okay. Occasional bloating and pain is okay. Pay attention to having a timely four-dimensional color ultrasound examination between the 24th and 26th weeks of pregnancy to see if the baby has any gross organ deformities.

Pregnant women should drink more water and add a little honey to facilitate intestinal peristalsis and prevent dry stools. Eat more vegetables, fruits and foods rich in fiber. Among vegetables, wild rice stem, leek, spinach, celery, loofah, lotus root, radish, etc. are rich in fiber; among fruits, persimmon, pear, apple, banana, tomato, etc. are rich in fiber.

If the contractions are irregular and short-term, it is okay. They are mostly caused by fatigue or stimulation. You will be fine if you sit down or lie down to rest. However, if you have regular and continuous uterine contractions, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.
