Why does the vagina have leucorrhea with bad smell?

The main function of leucorrhea is to protect the vagina, but leucorrhea can easily produce some odor due to physiological and pathological factors. Sometimes it will be full of strong fishy smell, and sometimes it will taste a little sour, which will cause the vagina to emit an unpleasant odor. What are the factors that usually cause leucorrhea to have an odor? Please give me some time to explain it to you in detail.

Leucorrhea with a fishy odor may be caused by Trichomonas vaginitis. Trichomonas vaginitis is caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, with an incubation period of 4 to 28 days. There are small red particles or petechiae on the vaginal mucosa. Increased leucorrhea and vulvar itching are its main symptoms. If there is a mixed infection with other bacteria, the discharge will be purulent and may have a fishy smell. The itching areas are mainly the vaginal opening and vulva, and there may occasionally be burning, pain, and pain during sexual intercourse.

The leucorrhea with curd residue and foul odor is probably caused by candidal vaginitis, which has a higher incidence rate than Trichomonas vaginitis. Patients with candidal vaginitis experience increased leucorrhea, which is yellow or white in color, typically resembling tofu dregs, and has a foul odor. Itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina, painful urination, redness and edema around the vulva, and various changes in the epidermis.

If your vaginal discharge is thick and has a foul odor, you may have cervical erosion. The odor of cervical erosion, especially moderate and severe cervical erosion, is more obvious. The leucorrhea produced by cervical erosion can also vary in color, state, and quality depending on the pathogen. Increased vaginal discharge is the main symptom of cervical erosion, usually in the form of sticky or purulent mucus, sometimes with a fishy smell, sometimes with blood or bleeding during sexual intercourse, pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral area, which worsens during sexual intercourse, menstruation and bowel movements.

These are roughly the types of gynecological diseases reflected by abnormal leucorrhea. When you smell a strange odor, you must first consider whether it is caused by these diseases. It will then be more convenient to choose drug treatment. In this way, you no longer have to take anti-inflammatory drugs casually, nor will the disease continue for longer periods of time.
