How to treat pelvic inflammatory disease with a mass?

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a gynecological disease that women often suffer from. This disease can cause great distress to patients. Patients with pelvic inflammatory disease will have a significantly increased amount of vaginal discharge, and the color of the vaginal discharge will turn yellow. At this time, you must not eat spicy and irritating foods, especially those fried foods. In addition, you cannot eat lamb and duck meat, etc. If a lump appears in pelvic inflammatory disease, the following methods can be used to help treat it.

Treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease with a mass:

Treatment principles

1. Rest in bed, semi-recumbent position. Eat a nutritious, easily digestible diet. People with anemia receive small amounts of blood transfusions. Give analgesics when pain is severe.

2. Control infection: Use strong, large amounts of antibiotics, commonly cephalosporins, ampicillin, metronidazole, etc. for intravenous drip. 3. When there is suspected residual intrauterine tissue, perform uterine curettage after controlling the infection.

4. Surgical treatment: If an abscess is formed and the body temperature continues to drop after 48-72 hours of drug treatment, or if the poisoning symptoms worsen or the mass increases, abscess incision and drainage should be performed. If the condition of fallopian tube pyosalpinx or fallopian tube-ovarian abscess improves after drug treatment, surgical treatment can be performed after continuing to control the inflammation for a few days. If there is sudden aggravation of abdominal pain, high fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, refusal to press, or toxic shock, and suspected abscess rupture, laparotomy should be performed immediately.

5. Symptomatic supportive treatment.

Medication principles

1. For mild acute pelvic inflammatory disease, intravenous drip of penicillin, amikacin or metronidazole is the main treatment.

2. For severe acute pelvic inflammatory disease, it is appropriate to use two or more antibiotics in combination.

3. When abscess is formed and drug treatment is not effective, the abscess should be incised and drained, and pus should be taken for bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test, and strong and effective antibiotics should be selected.

Dietary advice

1. You can eat more foods such as lean meat, chicken, cabbage, asparagus, celery, eggs, crucian carp, turtle, spinach, tofu, kelp, cucumber, winter melon, mushrooms, seaweed, and fruits.

Such as red beans, mung beans, winter melon, lentils, coix seeds, purslane, etc. You should eat foods that have the effect of promoting blood circulation, regulating qi and dispersing nodules, such as peach kernels, fruit jelly peels, orange seeds, orange peels, hawthorn, roses, kumquats, etc. Appropriate supplement of protein, such as lean pork, duck, goose and quail.

Patients with pelvic inflammatory disease who suffer from high fever and loss of body fluids can be given pear juice, apple juice, watermelon juice, etc. to drink, but they should not be drunk after being chilled.

4. Patients with cold pain in the lower abdomen, fear of cold, and back pain belong to the cold stagnation and qi stagnation type. They can be given warm foods such as ginger soup, brown sugar water, and cinnamon pulp.
