What to do if you have postpartum mole, ulcer or constipation

After forty weeks, the pregnant woman finally gave birth to the baby and became a pregnant mother. However, the mother needs careful care from her family, especially during the confinement period, to pay attention to the occurrence of diseases. Some women suffer from recurring hemorrhoids after giving birth, which is very distressing. What should they do about hemorrhoids and constipation after childbirth? If a mother breastfeeds her child, she cannot use any antibiotics, so diet therapy is the best.

1. Postpartum hemorrhoids

Postpartum hemorrhoids are a common disease near the anus in postpartum mothers. Postpartum hemorrhoids are mostly a relic of hemorrhoids during pregnancy. When a mother becomes pregnant, her uterus enlarges and blood supply becomes insufficient. As the fetus develops, the uterus continues to grow. The growing uterus will affect the circulation of the veins, causing poor blood return and leading to the formation of hemorrhoids.

A large amount of sex hormones will be produced in the mother's body after pregnancy. Due to the influence of these hormones, the expansion force of the gastrointestinal smooth muscle decreases, and the peristalsis decreases and weakens, which delays the emptying of food in the stomach and prolongs the transit time in the intestine, causing feces to stay in the colon too long, reducing water content, and making the feces dry and hard. Constipation is prone to occur, and the person needs to hold his breath during defecation. In addition, the enlarged uterus puts pressure on the rectum, and the pelvic venous return is poor, resulting in hemorrhoids. In addition, during childbirth, new mothers may also develop hemorrhoids due to holding their breath.

When postpartum hemorrhoids gradually worsen, bleeding symptoms of varying degrees are likely to occur. If postpartum hemorrhoids are severe, they can be treated with medication and surgery. In daily life, you should do a good job of preventing hemorrhoids, such as drinking water frequently, defecating on time, keeping the anus clean, etc. These are all effective ways to prevent postpartum hemorrhoids.

2. Why do you get postpartum hemorrhoids?

The occurrence of postpartum hemorrhoids can be traced back to the mother's pregnancy. The reasons why mothers get hemorrhoids after childbirth include enlarged uterus during pregnancy, increased progesterone in the body, excessive force during childbirth, etc. The specific reasons for postpartum hemorrhoids are as follows:

1. Enlargement of the uterus during pregnancy: After the mother becomes pregnant, the uterus in the body enlarges and the blood supply is insufficient. As the fetus develops, the uterus continues to grow. The enlarged uterus affects the circulation of the veins, causing poor blood return and leading to the formation of hemorrhoids.

2. Increased flavonoids during pregnancy or confinement period: During pregnancy or confinement period after childbirth, the flavonoids in the mother's body increase, the peristalsis of the large intestine slows down, and constipation is easy to occur. Once constipation occurs, it is easy to induce hemorrhoids.

3. Excessive force during childbirth: During the growth process, if natural delivery takes too long, hemorrhoids will be aggravated. During pregnancy, the pelvic tissue in the mother's body becomes loose. During the natural delivery process, excessive force is used and the abdominal cavity moves for a long time, which can easily lead to the formation of thrombotic arteries. Hard lumps will form on the skin around the anus, causing pain and forming hemorrhoids. Some mothers who have caesarean sections are no exception and will also develop hemorrhoids.
