1. Don’t sleep on your stomach

Some pregnant women sleep on their backs, while others sleep on their sides. Both positions are acceptable because the baby is not fully developed yet and is still in a very small stage. As long as it does not affect the baby's breathing and you can sleep comfortably, it will be fine.

3. It is best to develop a left side sleeping position

No matter at which stage of pregnancy, sleeping on the left side is the best sleeping position. It will not affect the fetus in the belly or yourself.

4. Avoid sleeping with objects in your arms

Some pregnant mothers are used to sleeping with a doll in their arms, especially a plush doll, but most plush dolls are stuffed and will affect their breathing. Therefore, it is best for pregnant mothers not to sleep while holding objects.

The correct sleeping posture during pregnancy

1. The best sleeping position during the second trimester is lying on the left side, because it can reduce the pressure of the pregnant uterus on the aorta and iliac arteries and avoid fetal discomfort.

2. The left side lying position allows the pregnant mother's uterus to maintain normal tension, increases the amount of blood output from the mother's heart, and thus ensures blood perfusion to the placenta.

3. Lying on the left side can also prevent pregnant women from suffering from lower limb edema, varicose veins in the lower limbs, low back and abdominal pain, etc., and improve their sleep quality.

4. Sleeping in the left lateral position can turn the right-rotated uterus to an upright position, reduce abnormal fetal position, and reduce the risk of delivery in late pregnancy.

5. No matter which sleeping position you adopt, do not drink too much water before going to bed, because frequent going to the toilet will affect the sleep quality of pregnant mothers.
