We all know that women's leucorrhea reflects their health status. Normal women's leucorrhea is white and turbid. Some women with gynecological diseases may have brown leucorrhea, or there may be some blood in their leucorrhea. If there is blood in the leucorrhea before and after menstruation, it is normal, but if there is blood even during menstruation, you need to see a doctor. So what should you do if your leucorrhea sometimes contains blood? There are two main reasons for blood streaks in leucorrhea: physiological and disease-related. Disease-related blood streaks in leucorrhea may be caused by cervical polyps, acute vaginitis, severe cervical erosion, uterine submucosal fibroids, cervical cancer and other gynecological diseases. In addition, sometimes due to the placement of intrauterine contraceptive rings, there are also some blood streaks in leucorrhea. Once blood streaks are found in leucorrhea, especially after sexual intercourse, you should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors in the genitals. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment. It is recommended to do routine leucorrhea examination. Take some rest and don't overwork yourself. Keep your vagina clean and avoid spicy foods. Normal leucorrhea should be transparent, gelatinous or yellowish paste, but it must not be mixed with blood. If the naked eye can see blood in leucorrhea, it is definitely abnormal and sometimes it is a sign of cancer. Leucorrhea with blood, especially a small amount of bleeding after sexual intercourse, is medically called contact bleeding. In mild cases, it may be cervical inflammation, due to vascular congestion, small blood vessels rupture during sexual intercourse and cause bleeding; in severe cases, it may be an early clinical manifestation of cervical cancer. Therefore, once there is contact bleeding, cervical cytology examination must be performed, and sometimes colposcopy and cervical biopsy are also required. Because the appearance of the cervix in early cervical cancer is very similar to cervicitis, even the most experienced physicians find it difficult to distinguish. Long-term cervicitis can also turn into cervical cancer. Sometimes intrauterine contraceptive devices or endometritis can cause bloody vaginal discharge, but it will improve after anti-inflammatory treatment. Most of the time it is occasional. A very small number of hypertensive patients may occasionally have bloody vaginal discharge due to vascular sclerosis and rupture. The blood in leucorrhea may come from: bleeding from cervical inflammation, bleeding from endometrial lesions and breakthrough bleeding during ovulation, etc., and is not necessarily related to cancer. It is recommended that you go to a gynecological hospital for examination to find out whether you have inflammatory lesions of the cervix so that you can receive timely treatment. |
