Woman has symptoms of bad cervical spine

There are many people suffering from cervical spondylosis in life, especially for those who sit and work in front of computers for a long time every day. They are most likely to suffer from cervical spondylosis. If a woman suffers from cervical spondylosis, it will cause many symptoms, because the cervical vertebra will compress the nerves. In severe cases, it may even cause vision loss. It may also cause some high blood pressure, heart disease and other diseases. So, what are the symptoms of women with bad cervical spondylosis?

We all think that the main symptoms of cervical spondylosis are neck and back pain, upper limb weakness, finger numbness, lower limb weakness, difficulty walking, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and even tachycardia and difficulty swallowing. But there are some other symptoms that we need to pay attention to. When symptoms such as angina pectoris, itchy eyes, and decreased vision appear, they are also the main manifestations of cervical spondylosis. Therefore, we must always pay attention to avoid serious cervical spondylosis.

Decreased vision. Cervical spondylosis can also manifest as decreased vision, intermittent blurred vision, swelling and pain in one or both eyes, photophobia, tearing, narrowed visual field, and even narrowed visual field and sharp decrease in vision. Some patients may even become blind, but most are accompanied by other symptoms of cervical spondylosis, such as neck and shoulder pain, and limited neck movement. It is recommended that when the above eye symptoms occur and no eye problems are found, it is best to take a neck X-ray to rule out cervical spine problems.

hypertension. Some hypertension is caused by cervical spondylosis, which is also called cervical hypertension. When the middle and lower cervical vertebrae are dislocated, the carotid sinus is stimulated, causing a sudden increase in blood pressure (such as when getting up or lowering your head), but sometimes it drops below normal blood pressure. Patients with cervical hypertension have no organic lesions in blood vessels, heart, brain, and kidneys, and are not effectively treated with antihypertensive drugs. They are often accompanied by symptoms such as neck pain and numbness in the upper limbs.

Angina or irregular heartbeat. The stimulation and compression of the cervical dorsal nerve roots by cervical bone spurs can cause angina symptoms such as precordial pain, chest tightness, shortness of breath, as well as tachycardia or bradycardia. When patients have mild neck symptoms but severe cardiovascular symptoms, they are often misdiagnosed. Unlike coronary heart disease, patients with cervical spondylosis often experience suspected angina pectoris symptoms after working with their heads down for too long, or suddenly turning or shaking their heads. Patients will also feel limited neck movement and tenderness in the cervical spine. Such patients need a neck X-ray when they see a doctor.

Cerebral arteriosclerosis or cerebellar disease. Due to the hyperplastic changes of the cervical vertebrae compressing the vertebral artery, the basilar artery blood supply is obstructed, resulting in temporary cerebral ischemia. Patients may fall due to sudden turning of the head and loss of body support while walking, accompanied by severe dizziness or headache, nausea, vomiting, sweating and other symptoms. However, unlike cerebral arteriosclerosis, patients with cervical spondylosis will wake up and stand up quickly after falling due to the change in the position of their neck. They will not fall into a coma or have any sequelae. When patients visit the doctor, they can have brain MRI and cervical spine MRI checked at the same time.

Symptoms of cervical spondylosis include decreased vision, high blood pressure, angina pectoris or arrhythmia, cerebral arteriosclerosis or cerebellar disease, etc. Therefore, we should pay more attention to modern health care in our daily lives, exercise more, maintain a good mood, and reduce the incidence of some unnecessary diseases.
