Symptoms of acidosis in early pregnancy

Symptoms of acidosis in early pregnancy

Pregnancy is a difficult process for women, and this difficulty lasts for eight or nine months until the birth of a new life. Women who have had pregnancy experience know that pregnant women will inevitably encounter various minor problems during pregnancy. If it is just a normal reaction to the pregnancy itself, then there is no big problem. However, if a more serious disease is diagnosed during pregnancy, then it will be troublesome. Acid toxicity is a symptom that many people will experience. It is a toxin that accumulates in the human body. If it is not discharged for a long time, it will cause various diseases. So what are the symptoms of acid toxicity in early pregnancy?

Acidosis refers to the acidic waste produced during the human body's metabolism.

The transportation and excretion of all substances in various tissue cells of the human body are carried out through the blood. The blood pH value must be maintained within the safe range of 7.35-7.45, which is weakly alkaline. When the human body's internal environment becomes acidic, specifically when the pH value of the blood remains at a normal low level, or even lower than 7.35, it means that the blood is polluted and is acidic to varying degrees, which means that there is acid poison in the blood. If the blood pH value drops to 7.20, a person will fall into a coma, and further decline means death. As the saying goes: Turbid blood causes all kinds of diseases, and all kinds of diseases are caused by sourness. At this time, the normal growth of body cells will inevitably be affected, making it impossible for metabolism to proceed normally. Under the influence of various internal and external factors, the body will inevitably develop various symptoms. This is what we often call "sub-health state", that is, acidic constitution.

Several women experienced nausea and vomiting in the 6th week of pregnancy. Symptoms usually occur in the morning when they get up. In mild cases, they only have a decreased appetite. In some cases, they have nausea or occasional vomiting in the morning. A few have obvious symptoms, such as vomiting whatever they eat or even vomiting bile. Vomiting is limited to the morning and occurs all over. In severe cases, they experience dehydration and acidosis. In addition to vomiting, pregnant women also have changes in their eating habits. They prefer acidic foods and dislike oily foods. They have a particularly sensitive sense of smell and vomit as soon as they smell something they hate.

The cause of vomiting in early pregnancy is still unclear. It may be related to human chorionic gonadotropin and psychotropic hormone. The secretion of human chorionic gonadotropin by the placenta during pregnancy begins to increase at 6 weeks of pregnancy, which reduces gastric acid secretion, weakens gastric peristalsis, and makes water and food retained in the stomach, which can easily cause vomiting. At 12 weeks of pregnancy, the secretion of this hormone decreases significantly, and the vomiting disappears on its own. In addition, in early pregnancy, the excitability of the cerebral cortex of pregnant women decreases, and the inhibitory effect of the central nervous system of the cortex weakens, causing autonomic dysfunction and vomiting.

Vomiting in early pregnancy is a physical phenomenon that should not be treated with caution. If the symptoms are mild, there is no impact on health and special treatment is required. Keep a happy and stable mood, pay attention to rest, ensure adequate sleep, eliminate negative stimulation, eat less meals, choose light, nutritious and easy-to-digest foods. Some symptoms will disappear on their own in the 12th week of pregnancy; severe vomiting requires treatment and hospitalization for infusion if necessary.
