What to do if you have pharyngitis during early pregnancy

Nowadays, as the air quality is getting worse and worse, most of the air people breathe is. It is contaminated, so it is very bad for people's throats and trachea. Therefore, most people suffer from pharyngitis. Pharyngitis is a disease that often makes people feel very uncomfortable in the throat. And every time I wake up from sleep, I feel my throat is dry, but drinking water doesn't help. Let’s find out what to do if you get pharyngitis during pregnancy.

In winter, due to the dry climate, pharyngitis can easily occur, which can lead to throat pain, cough and other symptoms. Don't rush to take medicines to treat pharyngitis, especially for pregnant mothers, as many medicines to treat pharyngitis cannot be taken.

Watermelon Frost Throat Tablets: It is effective for throat diseases such as dryness, swelling and pain in the throat accompanied by hoarseness. However, Watermelon Frost Spray contains watermelon frost and borneol, which are ingredients that pregnant women should be careful about taking. It is not recommended for pregnant women, especially those with a history of miscarriage or those in early pregnancy.

Coral Grass Tablets: Commonly used for sore throat, hoarseness and loss of voice caused by exogenous wind-heat. It is not recommended for pregnant women to take it because it contains borneol, which can easily cause miscarriage and fetal malformation.

Liushen Pills: The common side effects of this drug are allergic reactions, drug rashes and unbearable itching after taking the drug, and some severe cases may even experience anaphylactic shock. Because it contains ingredients such as musk, which can cause uterine contractions, pregnant women should not take it.

Huasu Tablets: Although the iodine molecules contained in the medicine have super strong bactericidal and anti-infective effects and can quickly kill various pathogenic microorganisms in the mouth and throat, iodine is quite irritating to the oral mucosal tissue and is not suitable for long-term sublingual use, and is not recommended for use by pregnant women.

In addition, if you take throat lozenges indiscriminately when there is no obvious inflammation in the throat, it can inhibit the growth of normal bacteria in the mouth and throat, disrupt the internal environment of the mouth, and allow bacteria that are not pathogenic to enter the mouth, which in turn causes the disease and makes the condition worse.
